Line check near bubble in Stars $109
53 players left, top 45 get paid. I am BB with ~10,000, and big stack (~30,000) raises 3xBB to 1800. I have A /images/graemlins/club.gif 8 /images/graemlins/spade.gif , I don't have reads on big...

Re: two hands from today\'s $1500 NLH at WSOP
If you're seeing the dead money in the pot, someone else sure will too...especially with your money in there now as well. This is the perfect play...if it works...but also a pretty regretable way to...

Stupid donkey question: in hand 2, are you hoping that everyone folds or that you get called as a 2-1 dog with a heap of dead money in the pot?

Either one would work i'm...

Re: PS 20/180 FT hand
I think you're off base thinking that people will fear a short stack UTG all-in move. If anything they will be inclined to call you with less of a hand because they know you're looking to make a move...

You said this was a dream and not a nightmare right? So don't even worry about it, the K /images/graemlins/spade.gif is coming on the turn anyways /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: On the bubble with jet lag and jacks
Easy shove here...not enough chips to wait for anything better, if you can chase away one player with your AI, then there's a lot of dead money in the pot here too. I'd go head sup hre in a heart...

Re: Results
Looks like LAG is playing steal from position, using bubble psychology to raise the calling requirements of his opponents left to act. For him...this play is +EV with almost any 2 cards, because he...

Re: How much to toke at the end of a MTT?
I assume everyone is referring to live B&M tournys with their responses...I mean tipping online seems a little ludacrous dont you think? For live tourney's i'm at about 4-5% for small wins and 1.5-3%...

Start to tighten back up a bit...the ideal situation would be to pick up a big hand in late position in the next couple orbits, but without that happening you may need to tighten up because people...

Re: Line check - Blind vs. Blind
I'm not worried about having the worst hand here...the 1/5pot bet on the turn is a little odd. Looks to me that he can't be that strong, yet has an idea that he may have the best hand. Perhaps he is...

Re: is your \"M\" really important?
The "M", the number itself isn't what's important. What's important is that you are aware of the changing dynamic at your table as the blinds and antes rise and that you have a continuing adaptation...

Re: The Lay-down that gets you to the WSOP
Is it just me or does anyone else think this comes down to straight numbers? With your chip position, you have a better chance of winning a seat by folding AA if you KNOW your opponent has AKo. It...

Re: \"Outplaying\"
Can I summarize that the general concensus seems to be that "outplaying" a particular opponent is, in general, making better decisions in given situations than your opponent is making.

Major live tourny...pocket 10\'s dilemma
Major live tournament, $500 buy-in, 400 players, second day about 60 players remain. I have roughly 110k in chips, average is about 65k, UTG has me covered with about 125k and UTG+1 has about 50k....

Re: What percentage of the time do you play MTTs?
I do well in STNGs, but I like to set aside a portion of my profits to dabble in MTTs. Many of you probably know that the ol' sitngo grind is a bit tedious, so it's nice to play a few MTTs for a...

Nothing wrong with river play here...your river raise will simply be called by second best much more often than you will be re-raised for high +EV, and the pot odds give you an easycall of the...

Re: OK seriously, what besides AA could he have?
Can't get in the habit of folding KK pre-flop. The number of times he has 1010-QQ or AK more than make up for the few times he has aces. Automatic push here. Ran into some bad luck. Honestly I could...

Re: Hand from the ME of the World Poker Open

Re: Conjecture and Question
I imagine that the 40K equity developed for the start of a tournament has taken into account occurrences of extreme variance, ie. Doubling up or busting out on the first hand. Therefore it is easy to...
