Re: -$10,000 downswing...hands for review

Sklansky say: If you have a solid read and can fold correctly when he hits, your best play is to make him pay on the flop, but only so much so that you have enough left in your stack to make him fold...

Re: Play the WSOP ME or take the 10K in cash? hrmmm..

Re: Play the WSOP ME or take the 10K in cash? hrmmm..

I'm assuming you're a good player so you are +ev in the main event. That means, in the long run, you get back your 10k entry "and then some".

So it all comes down to how big your bankroll is and...

Re: Mehrunes Dagon raises to $350 in a $10/20 game; how to respond?

You're still making money even though you fold a lot of flops. You're folding on 2/3 of flops and losing $250. 1/3 of the time you hit, and maybe 1/2 those times you stack him for $2000 as a huge...

Re: Good problem to have: Huge hand, raised on river

Pot-sized reraise of $1858 leaves his opponent with $264. Isn't that suspicious too, like maybe even more so than an all in?

Edit: I didn't see it was pot limit /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Re: 15/30 Blindwar Question

Your chances of improving should affect your decision a bit, too. Like, I would rather call to showdown with AK than 33.

Re: A bunch of standard, basic hands from the blinds

Is calling preflop with Q4 against an aggressive SB standard?

Re: Checking on my pf game

What are your reasons for pushing that make it better than calling or reraising normally?

Are you pushing for $6672 or just raising enough to put the sb in?

Re: I NEED SOME HELP/SUGGESTION TO IMPROVE MY PLAY AT 10/20

Try playing fewer tables until you are a winner. You will improve faster and lose money at a slower rate.

7.5-1 to hit a set. ... If he gets paid of everytime he hits he's not just calling $30 to win $88 he's calling $30 to win $288, so $288-$30 (9.6-1) is a clear call.

Re: 20/40 limit live

[ QUOTE ]

Your opponent is more likely to be playing a set or two pair than drawing for a flush, and since you have one of the flush cards in your own hand, I think in about a 3 to 2 ratio. That...
