"We split a tremendous 12"

What does this mean?

[/ QUOTE ]

Tremendous Twelve®

Our hearty breakfast of three large eggs cooked to order, four pancakes, crispy hash browns or breakfast potatoes and four bacon strips or sausage links. No accompaniments.

I used to be such a dick when I was losing. Lately, my wife asked how I was doing. I said that I was losing a lot. She was shocked, because I wasn't being a dick. Guess that's part of the maturity of a poker player. Real good post bk.

Nice post.

On the "work sucks" comments, lots of people say that when they start. But it gets more fun as you get adjusted to the work routine. I'm not saying that the lifestyle of a poker player isn't better, just that if I were to ever leave my job, I'd miss it.

If you were to ever continue with computer science, I'd suggest looking at POMDPs, it's kind of like poker except different.

You sound like you're headed in the right direction. Good luck.

One POSITIVE (fyp) about the lifestyle is the alcohol. Given that most days are pretty much ‘weekends’ you go out to eat a lot and go to friends places a lot as well as go out from time to time it’s often easy to have a few beers or get drunk. ‘it doesn’t matter because it’s not like you have to get up for work or anything’

Best line of the post! - We split a tremendous 12

[/ QUOTE ]

Drinking a large glass of sangria right now (and finishing off my weekend binge!), so i guess the 'tremendous 12' line kinda rings true for me!

good luck man. keep dominating

BK, you've inspired me to do a 2 years as a pro post. Maybe I will one of these days. Great read - I knew most of it already but it's always cool to take a look at it as a whole.

James I hope you make that post. I really enjoy reading post like this. May is my first month pro and it is always good to know that others are in the same situation and doing well.

Default back to school

[ QUOTE ]
I’ll probably go back to school at some point and either get some sort of business degree or a masters in computer science.

[/ QUOTE ]
What are your reasons for wanting to go to grad school? What kind of jobs do you see yourself wanting in the future that these degrees would help you get? Wouldn't they mostly be 9 to 5 deals? If so, are you thinking you'll be okay with that when you're older?
