Default -$10,000 downswing...hands for review

1.)
Villian is maniac here. Likes to showdown weak hands and bluff missed draws etc. What should I do on river?

This hand I decided to get tricky. I felt if I led the flop that I pretty much tell them I have an ace and since my hand is so crappy I would have to fold if someone pushes on me as a semibluf. So I go for a c/r.

That doesn't work so I lead turn. What hands check the flop and shove this turn (other than 22)?

Is this a time to fire a third barrel? My read on him is that he is very agressive and raises his made hands and draws but I feel that he may be slowplaying a monster here due to the dryness of the board. Or he could have a medium PP and will muck it on the river.

1) c/c PSB
2) i like your plan for the flop and the turn but fold after the raise. dont see a semibluff here.
3-4) over my head
5) i wait and think about folding and push anyway
6) perfect flop for that, like it

edit: i play 400NL

grim, ive never played this high, but ill give you a reply/bump

hand 1, i c/c river.

hand 2, i like it. if your checking that flop, theyre never putting you on an ace, and i think that push is a must call IMO.

hand 3, i think any more is spewage. If hes calling your flop and turn bet, hes already decided you dont have top pair. If he can follow his reads hes not folding the river. maby im wrong, but i think he told us hes not going anywhere on the turn.

hand 4, im not sure, thats uber-laggish, very read dependant imo.

hand 5, sexy

hand 6, hmm...i think after 3-betting pre, the push is good on that flop. i think you might get AJ,QQ to fold here.

i only play 100 and 200 nl so im not very sure if my answers are accurate, but i did learn quite a bit from reading these hands. regardless of the outcome, nice hands.

1: C/C seems fine
2: I make it a habit not to squeeze UTG raisers, and also not to squeeze with hands like AJo. It gives you tons of trouble when you hafta play it out postflop like so.
3: Could go either way
4: Why not just bet pot, I dont see much benefit in pushing double the pot, it barely raises your F/E and your risking twice as much.
5: At best your up against a strong draw, I think you can find better spots.
6: You hafta push this flop after the re-popping preflop but I dont think hes folding QQ+ and I think the majority of the time he has QQ+

In 2 I lead for the pot on the turn, then fold to the push, it looks a little less semi bluffy and I think encourages worse hands not to push/

Never played this high and don't usually play SH either. Sorry about your downswing since I usually find your hands interesting.

4. I wouldn't do it, but I'd say your chances of folding him are good.

5. Looks OK, but why not wait and push non-[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] turn? You don't have fold equity against a FD and could save yourself money if he hits.

6. Don't like it. You get called by better hands and fold weaker hands. It looks like you are bugged by this dude re-popping you and want to teach him a lesson. Check and call his AQ bluff-push if that's what you want to do.

#6 I thought I liked it, but after putting some thought, it looks pretty bad since everytime he flatcalls you like that preflop, he has big pair. AK shoves pf

1) "block" and call a push might work
2) don't call ffs
3) how often do you do this?
4) i think you're right, barring history etc. just make sure you mix it up properly
5) can't help you, running bad

Are you saying that if he has a flushdraw, you would rather SMOOTHCALL here and WAIT FOR A BLANK to charge him most? Why not just PUSH now and get stacks in WHILE YOUR A 2:1 FAVORITE rather than waiting for a MUST BLANK and pushing so that he will FOLD his DONKEYFLUSHDRAW
