Re: value 3-bet on the river?
Take the free card on the turn. As played, 3-bet the river: your hand looks much more like top pair than the nut straight, and villain could easily just have two pair.

Free wifi in Vegas?
Any tips for good spots on the strip to mooch free wifi? I'm in Vegas for a week and the thought of forking over $10-13/day for hotel internet seems distasteful. I'm staying at the north end of the...

Re: can\'t lay the bullets down
The only set that MP2 reasonably has is 99, and with his PFR and 3-bet preflop it's more likely he's overplaying a big pair worse than yours. (On the turn, if anyone has a set it's more likely to be...

Re: Top two on scary board
I'd cap the flop and raise the turn, calling down from there if 3-bet. There aren't many combinations of AA-QQ left and all those hands usually cap preflop, and raising JT from UTG would be quite...

Fancier play against aggressive villains
I've noticed that since the Paradise reload play has tightened up more and pots are contested more shorthanded and aggressively now. As a result, I've been playing less ABC and check-raising more...

Re: The Goldielocks of turn calls
Hand 1: Call down. You'll pick off a bluff or a worse ace here often enough to make it worthwhile.
Hand 2: Fold; pot is small and your outs are questionable.
Hand 3: Call down. His most...

I don't know what the question is

Heh, probably because there are so many of them:
Fold preflop even given reads?
Bet/3bet flop? Check-3bet flop?

T8s, I speculate
BB is aggressive preflop and raises a wide range of hands, including any two broadway, most pocket pairs, suited aces/kings, etc.
Button is a very odd player. His preflop raising and 3-betting...

Re: Two confused hands
Hand 1: Against a LAG I'm just calling the flop and raising the turn after I pair my hand. You're not getting fold equity or buying a free turn card much against this type of player, and it would...

I call down starting at the turn. I'm seeing two pair or a less likely straight a lot of the time here.

KJo isn't a good enough hand to raise from MP1. I'd have limped in and then gotten out of this pot for $0.00 after seeing that flop.

Everything's good up until the turn raise. Why put in 2 bets when you're behind here? There's no value in buying a free showdown with A-high. I'd rather preserve my chance to raise the river if I...
