Re: As botched!?

3 bet flop?

Don't understand the river donk at all.

Re: getting raised on the river

Check the turn and call a non heart river bet. As played there's no way you can call the raise.

Re: valuebet that river?

Fold preflop. I'd open in CO with that hand.

As played I check the river.

Re: SB vs BB, I flop top pair and get action

[ QUOTE ]
Is this standard or should I b/f river? I have 500 hands on BB and he's a good player as far as I can tell.

By good player I assume you mean aggressive? I'm trying to...

Re: 77 from BB, all streets questionable

[ QUOTE ]
Yeah, next time I'm certainly raising pf but my main question is if I should sometimes look him up or if it's fine to always fold the turn. I think he might be somewhat passive but I...

Re: Should I donk my flopped flush draw?

I don't mind a flop donk. You may pick up the pot right there - if raised you have enough outs to call.

Re: 77 from BB, all streets questionable

Raise pf - nobody has shown any strength. Hand then becomes easier to play.

Re: A9o in BB, losing value on the river?

I think you played it fine. You're not folding a better hand and he probably won't call with a worse one.

Re: QQ on ugly turn

[ QUOTE ]
Pretty easy bet. Especially since I feel comfortable folding to a raise vs an unknown.

It's an obvious opportunity for Villain to semibluff a diamond or straight draw or turn a pair <T...

Re: blind defense

I fold pf. As played, I don't mind the flop & turn, but would just c/f river. There's not much he raised pf then is willing to bet river with that you beat.

Re: Call down or raise it up?

[ QUOTE ]
SB loves to fire if he thinks he can take down the pot. Not a very good player, but has some tricky agressive moves.

Re: AKo 2/4 check flop??

I bet flop here. Even if raised you should have 7 outs (discounting Kings) including 4 to the nuts. Not betting flop pretty much guarantees a donk bet and eliminates any chance of checking through...

Re: Time to take a stand against blind stealer?

[ QUOTE ]
I think he has Ax too often.

Besides, I can tell you what he has; Ax almost always

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm certain you're right - I just don't think he'll call a bet.

Re: Time to take a stand against blind stealer?

How bad is a river check here? I really wouldn't mind seeing what he has been raising with and don't want him to fold some draw or K high. And being aggressive isn't there a chance he would bet A...

Re: 2nd nuts in a huge pot. River decision?

UTG+1 came alive on the turn - so A4, a couple of diamonds, or 55 are possible.

In any event I would c/c the river. I'm certain UTG+1 is going to bet - he liked the turn. Since he has wrecked...

Re: Check this river right?

*grunch*

I really would have expected villain to raise flop if he had a K, so I think I'd go ahead and bet/fold to a raise.

If he had an A I'm sure he would have c/r turn. Bet river.

Re: Time for a semi-bluff?

*gnch*

I would go for the overcalls and see what the turn brings. You're getting great odds for the flush draw - why chase people away?

Re: Played AQs too risky?

*gnch*

Calling pf is OK, but I prefer a reraise cuz BTN may be raising his position to get CO HU.

Re: Rivered 2nd nut flush faces aggression from passive player

Villain could have hit a lot of good hands on the river, including a straight or a flush - he could also be sitting on a set or 2 pair. At least you holding the 5 takes away a straight...

Re: 0.25/0.50 - 77 on flush flop

*gnch*

You are almost certainly behind already and have only 4 outs (two 7's, two 8's) to a possible winner (that would still leave you losing to QQ TT) and only getting a little over 4:1. Time...
