Re: I think my boat just sunk in 250BB deep water
Regardless of stats, his flop play with top set does not convey solid to me, and if he does have top set, then that means he is perfectly capable also of calling that flop raise with the flush draw....

Re: 8 Trouble hands from my session. (400nl)
Hand 1 I fold to the all in. He's loaded or your flipping.
Hand 2 I probably raise the flop to $110 or so, but calling isn't awful imo. As played fold turn.
Hand 3 Converter is messed up for...

Damn, those latest hurt to read. You are down something like $7000 or more from NL $200 now? I'm running poor but not yet nearly as bad as this. How the frick do you even get up in the morning? For...

Sorry u run so bad dude, I'm in a 15 buyin downsing myself at the same stakes, seems unbelievable. I'd agree with Kratzer over most of the hands, the first one looks a bit spewy with AQ, okayish with...

Re: Can I get away from this with aces?
If you've been raising from the button a lot, you may have to go with it as you're hoping to see slowplayed KK/QQ or even JJ. Looks a lot like a set or a draw you're in a coin flip with. I side...

Re: Can anyone find a fold here?
Given his stats, I'd call having bet the river. Check calling the river seems a better line though, as I'd hate being raised $50. Bet bigger though. If he's actually called you and lucked some long...

Check flop. If you're gonna bet it, make it $15 and shutdown on the turn if he calls. I'd only double barrel if I was going to triple it.

Re: Dealing with a downswing
Great post and very timely for me. I'm currently in a 14 buyin dowswing at NL100, and even lately, I run so below average that I need to stack peoples just to break even in a session. And, yes, some...

Re: PS 100NL AQ TP2K RRed pot
Reraise pre seems fine, his call means something like AK or a pocket pair, so checking the flop is a good idea. Maybe Tens will take a shot on the turn or river and you can catch him. If he checks...

Ugh, KK and QQ definitely play this way. I was almost gonna scream "3BALL THE FLOP HOMEY". But this is a scary line from a PFR IMO.
K is a bad card too, cause now KQ is winning.

PF raise is super standard.
The thing about this raise is that BB will fold AK, maybe even JJ, but UTG+1 might call with junk like A5, which we are a favorite over I think, esp with...

Re: nl100 fancy play T9s
Raise seems pretty standard, do more of it imo. It's not a spew to call little more than a 2x reraise either. I don't know about moving all in on the flop though, you're effectively thinking that...

Re: nl100 JJ reraise, yucki yucki
All the lower pairs you beat I don't see villain raising preflop very often, then check raising the flop. It looks like he's trying to be tricky with AA-QQ. I'd fold it.
