What does he have? I was so temped to call this river bet. 23/12/1/97 hands

Is the turn bet good? i thought he could easily float this flop w/ overs, 77, etc. Am I just not betting enough?

If you are going to bet the turn, you have to fire a 3rd barrel on the river. That said I'd, c/f the turn. I think a mid pair is likely and is looking you up barring a [censored] river.

double barreling is fine if you bet more

Flop bet looks too small. I prefer $15 and then shut down without a decent read. If he is a habitual floater then a slightly fuller turn bet is good usually but commits you here against a short-stack.

If I had played this and wanted to double barrell I would have $15 bet the flop and then $45 into the $49 pot on the turn having to call if he shoves. Having said that I would not double barrell against a shortstack on this board unless he is a known floater even then not too often.

1. They get stubborn and call with any pair when short

2. The ten whilst an overcard to the board is not a good card for it as not many hands you raise pre from UTG have a ten in it.
