Re: Buying a first home: Las Vegas

I’m resuming my hunt with a real estate agent today and will post some more thoughts after I’ve seen some more properties. The real estate agent I’m using claims to be a buyer’s agent...

Re: Big PP need some work......
I think it's somewhat close between the way you played it and bet/folding the turn. I probably would have played it the way you had, given the guy's stats.
I think b/f or b/c are both much better...

Re: Simple Line Check...
Maybe I'm old-fashioned...
But how terrible is check/folding the flop?
We're out of position with a marginal holding.

Re: Q3...Awkward position...
The only reason I prefer check/raising to leading this flop is that we can be raised in position by all kinds of things that we're ahead of on this flop, and it'll shut us down on later streets with...

Re: AK OOP check up.
Overs OOP sucks, no matter what. You can't check the flop OOP after capping preflop.
Looks completely fine to me.

Re: Q3...Awkward position...
Not intended to be inflammatory... but the ol' check/call thrice line seems excessively weak to me.
I say check/raise UTG and Button anyway, and bet/fold turn. If flat-called on the turn, I'd...

Re: AK in SB...postflop analysis?
[bold articulation of independent thought]
I hate hate hate the flop check in this particular hand. A flop bet/call is not so much a continuation bet as it is a semibluff. We have 10 outs to...

Re: sb attempt, line check
Love preflop and flop.
I think him not raising the turn tells you an awful lot. The only hand that a) 3-bets PF, b) beats you on the river, and c) was trailing you on the turn is QQ.
I...

Re: JTo vs. LAG
I've been known to raise JTo HU in a blind battle, but my HU aggression levels are borderline psychotic. With THIS guy I think calling preflop would be better... but it's something to think about.

Re: 5/10 4-handed .. A8s on the button
I like betting the turn. We're heads up, in position, with a good chance to take down the pot for a bet. It's a semi-bluff with lots of outs to improve on the river.
Guruman has a great thread...

Re: NL100 Monsterdraw
The other advantage to being in on the flop is that you don't have any more decisions to make on the turn.
You want to push the flop because your pot equity is higher than it would be if you brick...

Re: T9s flop 2nd pair
The more I think about it the more I think the flop is a not-close fold. Mix it up with this BSing UTG in a better spot with a bigger pot.

Re: How Good/Bad was my line
I really don't like the flop just-call. We are likely behind (with 6 overcard outs) in a coordinated board and need to thin the field and clean up our outs. We have good relative position to knock...

Re: T9s flop 2nd pair
I'm curious why you like raising the flop. Do you have a read on UTG?
I'm tempted to say folding the flop is best, because it sucks less IMO than raising or calling.
As played, I think the...

I like the flop raise, hate hate hate the turn check on a good card. I also like the river value bet when the 4th club misses.
