Default Simple Line Check...

For some reason I feel a bit lost in these situations.

Villain is 30/17/2.5 over ~60 hands.

Do better players than me raise the flop? Do better players than me take this to showdown?

I figured the turn is the point of no return here. If I call the turn, I'm calling almost any river card.

I think this is a good fold. You've lost your backdoor flush draw and now only have 5 outs to improve on the river. We don't have pot odds to justify a call.

what does a c/r the flop accomplish? It won't fold out the SB and if the villain raised with a K, we're screwed. Seems like we'd be donating more money for a situation where we lose more than we win.

I think we have the best hand more than you (and I at the time) are giving credit for.

What makes you think MP has a king? His bet on the flop is an auto bet. The main reason I'm check/raising is I don't want the turn checking through and let everyone see 2 cards for nothing, but there is also value in it.

I'm new to 6-max and am starting to realize why I suck at it so much.

Just for my edification, I threw this into PS:

41,787,545 games 27.157 secs 1,538,739 games/sec

Board: Jh 3d Kh
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 39.3768 % 38.49% 00.90% { 44+, A6s+, K9s+, QTs+, JTs, A9o+, KJo+ }
Hand 2: 60.6232 % 59.75% 00.90% { QhJs }

Here's a question for you guys... with this logic, is the autobet such a used technique in 6-max? Seems like it could be very expensive in the long run.

In this instance, ignoring other benefits such as improving our hand/chances or getting a free card, it's usually profitable because he's risking 1 to win 6 meaning if everyone folds 15% of the time he'll show an immediate profit.
