Re: AJo after 6 limpers

Raise to thin not for value. Plan to check behind on a miss and fold without pairing. If you pair... your gonna be glad the blinds are out.

Re: Variance in 3/6 LHE

I play at an extremely loose passive game where I am miles aheaed of my competition and I lose more nights than I win. However when I do win 1 night it is the equivalent of about 6 losses. Usually...

Re: can i fold to this check raise on the flop?

Once you are at the river the call would be in order. You only need to win that hand occasionaly to make that call worthwhile. An idea of the opponent would come in extremely handy here. Have they...

Re: 8/16 live, 98s

Call flop and try to build multiway pot... once that had failed. Bet/ Raise him on the turn and see if you cant pop him off 9A, 10s, JJ, or who knows... maybe even a pair of queens. If they call...

Thanks for counting whats wrong... but not providing any real solution.

Re: I hate weak overpairs out of position . . .

lol... leading a safe river? Probably your best play here is to fold to the 3 bet on the flop. 3-bets PF does nothing for you without a 9 on the flop. Lets say your opponent does have a strong ace....

Re: Buying in for more than one rack live

More money is better. People may think you are a cash cow and start lowering their standards to play / show down. when you appear weak people play a little better against you and are more prone to...

Re: another reason Y slowplaying sux

Get callers from a wide enough range of hands?

So you would get more callers by raising on the flop? Doubtuful. If they folded for 1 they definately fold for 2. Even the K high flush you would...

Re: another reason Y slowplaying sux

Normally the 4th spade will not come down in that situation (3 on board and 4 in hole cards). So that is the way you will want to normally play it. raising the flop would have been great if you...

Re: Fold to Early? or 20/20 Hindsite?

Well the pot ended up being well over 25.5 BB so I guess that means the call on the flop was the correct play. The final pot was about 200 - 240

Re: slow play or attack?

cold call.. dont pop it. You do NOT want any players to drop and people will talk themselves into any draw on a pot that big. You cold call on that flop? SO WHAT?! AK with a backdoor flush i...

Re: Actual flush draw odds

If you took the ratio of spades in the deck would be the same..... therefore the outs would be the same. It is expected that the spades you are looking for are spread proportionaly throughout the...

Re: 4/8 Call down mode after flop reraise ?

Yeah you played it great. The way the hand unfolded you have a greater chance of losing to UTG on 2pr than the pre-flop agressor.

If you are concerned about possibly missing out on a river bet......

Re: 6-12 CP - Tough spot... Easy Laydown?

Dont beleive everything you read. As stated above the most likely hand your up against is Ax 2 pair. To that hand you are drawing a 3 outer... and committing yourself to call the river even if you...

Re: 6-12 CP - Tough spot... Easy Laydown?

I usually opt to fold at this point especially if you have not alreayd committed the one big bet. If you have, then you may look to the river for a K or board pair. The amount you commit from this...

Re: ATs on the flop

This would be the perfect oppertunity to really analyze the the player at the CO. Generally only 3 players or so at the table will raise a draw especially to a cap. If you have seen the player...

Well it doesnt sound like anyone has anything super concrete on this one other than that it would not be a textbook play. I think this will be my final take on the matter.

"since there was no way...

Re: Fold to Early? or 20/20 Hindsite?

So fold the double bet in the BB on a massive pot to see the flop. 2 more to see 24 bets? I think Ill keep calling in that position at this table. I mean come on 10J in BB when i already have a...
