Vanguard All-World/Taxable Account

I am maxing out my IRA for the year and will have additional funds that I would still like to invest leaving me with just the option of investing in a taxable general account. I am looking at...

Re: 5/10 short-handed vs CaptZEEbo

You have to fold here. You're not best often enough to call I would think.

You're looking to double whenever possible especially early in SNG's.

[/ QUOTE ]
This is completely untrue.

You still need to get it in with KK.

Re: Is it possible to avoid going broke when...

You're looking to double whenever possible especially early in SNG's. If someone pushes and you wake up to KK, you have to call every time.

Re: Collusion more apparent in Ring or SNG?

I would guess that it is much more common in cash game. There is a much greater opportunity of profit. If people are colluding SNG's they have to have a 2nd place average to make money.

Re: 5/10: I have the flush! Lay it down.

[ QUOTE ]

A raise to $400 is just as scary as a push, and then you can FOLD if he pushes because no you don't have outs.

[/ QUOTE ]

Do you think an opponent in general would lay down a set...

Re: What do you Want in a Poker Magazine

The interviews with the bigname/noname internet pro's would be awesome. If you could interview guys like Prahlad, Erik Sagstrom, and others about how they built their way up in the poker world it...

What would re-raising A/K do for us??

[/ QUOTE ]

A lot. It folds out other AK, sometimes folds out TT-QQ on lower type flops, and wins a lot of pots when you both miss. ...

Re: Mahatma vs. Green Plastic

GP is no where near as big of a winnner as Mahatma on UB. Prahlad would be sitting with 100k+ all summer before he went on his hiatus. His imsleeping account won over 200k in less than a week when...

Re: AJ 200

lead for 3/4ths pot. One would think he is on a weaker ace or maybe like 66-1010.

Re: $11: Two quick JJ hands

I like the raise in the second one because you have position. If you were late position just call and make decisions from there.

Re: ($16) Turn Semi-bluff all-in (nut flush draw)

Fold pre-flop. You're leaving yourself to susceptible to everyone, especially with a short stack and a weak hand.

Re: (11 Pacific Fast) Dry Pot/ Bad Bubble Play?

Fold pre-flop. UTG is priced in and you are not a big favorite in any situation if you're even in the lead.

Re: 11: QQ flops a set (again)

In some spots like this I am tempted to check-call the flop. If the turn is a fairly safe card, I may check again hoping to push-reraise or just lead out depending on the player. This is not one of...

Re: 5/10NL at Party Poker -- AK on the Button

Agree that you should take it up to at least 50 pre-flop. Fold with any stack on the flop.

Re: Deepstack 5/10 PP 6max, Flush on the Turn: best line?

Pre-flop- i like mixing things up once in a while but generally i would say this is pretty lag.

Flop- I think flop is generally a fold.

Turn- I think you check-raise push here.

Re: 25/50:small overpair

I think that you're behind to a bigger pair here. It's a tough spot but I think GP is probably putting you on a mid-high pair and is going with you being lower than him. If one has QQ or JJ, the...

Re: Top pair + flush draw 10/20

I think you have to fold here. Even if it is a misclick it seems too likely that you are not good. Small pair or suited connectors fit well with the preflop play here. I think you're definitely...
