Default Deepish set on a bad board oop

This is a hand I think I misplayed. Hero has been straightforward and only been on the table for a small period of time. Villain has been fairly active but seems pretty solid. I doubled up earlier when I pushed (smallish overbet) w/ 76 on a 6s 6d 4s flop and he called w/ AsQs. Other than that I dont have any reads.

If I call his flop raise, what are my plans on the turn?

Party Poker (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

6-max

Stacks:

Hero has $4800
UTG covers
Button has $500

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG raises to $70, Button calls, Hero calls.

Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero leads for 220, UTG makes is $540, button folds, Hero..

What is worse, defining your hand or the potential turn card? I pot it here.

I don't even think OP is defining his hand here by 3-beting at all; with these stacks he could be doing this with a lot of draws/combodraws with great FE.

I would 3 bet here every time because most players with just JT and not precisely JdTd wouldn't just minraise. His hand seems like a worse made hand or a flush draw trying to shut down the action and get another free card if it misses on the turn. Plus by 3 betting you are representing JT yourself and might fold out an idiot straight. If you 3 bet and get a push in response, then you can fold with more confidence that you are beat against *most* players.

It sounds like it's a problem for you to get comitted; we're happy to get it allin here, even with these stacks obviously. Just make it 2k and call an allin.
