Villain is on a rush back up in chips with all-ins, not all with the best hands.

Why allin on the turn but not on the flop?

![]() There isn't a hand in poker I'd open limp here. Not strong/deep/late enough to raise...I'd fold this PF pretty easily. Having limped, you can't call this raise from behind...getting pretty spewy now. After two misclicks ( ), you couldn't ask for a better flop. It isn't reasonable to assume we'll have the odds to see the turn w/ his pending cbet. You've gambled loosely to this point. Fully handcuffed -- open pushing this flop pot, now equal to 40+% of our stack, is about the only reasonable move. |

I wanted to see what villain would do on the flop. My plan was to reraise all-in if villain bet the flop in hopes of gaining more chips with a (possible) fold. When he checked, I felt it best to pop all-in on the turn feeling I had the better of it and not wanting to prolong the hand. If called, I still have outs.

Well, a quick trip to the store, thinking about this hand, I'm debating the open flop push vs. your line.
The attempted flop check-raise coupled with moving on the turn, IS a viable line...for those rare occasions when he doesn't cbet. On the flop - it's a given that an Ace isn't folding regardless. But with a sizable cbet, it's quite possible he would be unwilling to lay down a TT-QQish PP (as your line could be indicative of the draw). Now getting to the turn, we can all but remove the Ace from his hand. A lead on this turn might make for a more difficult call for those other hands that we are still behind (if we are NOW able to sell our Ace looking to c-raise the flop). |

Plus, I didn't like the thought of checking again on the turn and giving villain another free card with likely the best hand at that point.

i probably fold at every point you did not preflop, and shove flop.

Flight_Risk [/ QUOTE ] I'd fold preflop, but given the action, i'd check the turn. I'm pretty sure you likely don't have the best hand at this point and need the free card more than him. |

preflop, i like folding, opening to 150, and limping in that order. folding should be default here, and maybe opening to 150 like 30 percent of the time.

Fold pre-flop. You're leaving yourself to susceptible to everyone, especially with a short stack and a weak hand.
