A Simple Coin Flip
Suppose you were presented with two options: to restart your life as a left handed person with a 50% chance of being extremely brilliant and a 50% chance of being extremely crazy, or to continue your...

Re: OT: $20 vs $5 and $10 tables
beat the 5 and 10 dollar ones for a reasonable profit, then move up whne your bankroll dictates it. if the play is really that bad, then you should be able to convincingly beat them, NOT be break...

Re: 3.40: JJ gets min-checkraised on paired board
[ QUOTE ]
I don't see any reason to EVER limp JJ in a 3.40
[/ QUOTE ]
Not even in EP/SB/BB where people in MP/LP love calling pf raises with Ax/Kx and an Ace or King flops roughly 35-40% of the...

Stop right there, the first sentence is so fundamentally flawed that you'll doomed to being a losing player if you continue with this plan. Sklansky details in the Theory of Poker why...

Re: Chip Ferguson’s Turbo SNG Article
Wow, hand 63 seriously just gave me some much needed education.
As for hands 61 and 74, his explanations definitely made sense, but I still have problems with them. Hand 61: sure the pot odds were...

Re: PS60 - AK L1 turns TP
This seems very true as I'm typing it, but is it weak of me to limp here in SB after those three callers? I may be losing value, but raising enough to push out some of those limpers and then having...

Re: $6.50 turbo - early with combo draw
Call the flop push and hope everyone else comes along for the ride.
As for preflop, I generally try and remain tight so I don't get in compromising situations where I could lose my stack early. If...

Re: ($11) AK preflop vs big reraise
Pretty often in situations like this, it's a pocket pair, and PPs vs AK is usually a coinflip (50% chance of winning/losing). There's no reason to push here and take a risk so early when later in the...

Re: PS$6: QQ when an ace flops - help
Incorrect.
It would be VERY ROUGHLY 1-((42/50)*(41/50)*(40/50)) which is 20% of the time. You calculate the odds of the other cards coming three times in a row, not the 8 cards coming every time....
