50NL - TT line check
Villain is a 47/9/1.9 and seems to call any street with any draw.
I think he may have hit his ace on the turn, but I think c/fíng the turn would be too weak. So, is this bad or okay, what about bet amount? Re: 50NL - TT line check
If he's going to call the turn no matter what, there's no point in betting it (because you're setting yourself up to fold to any hand on the river). If you insist on going further with the hand once the ace hits, a check/call is better than a bet that can't stand up to any pressure. That's probably the line I'd take here, and only if I know the villain to bluff - otherwise I might fold when the ace comes off.

Re: 50NL - TT line check
Check the turn, once he calls the flop you are basically not getting rid of him.

Re: 50NL - TT line check
check turn to control pot size when A hits. I think I fold to a strong turn bet, villand has showed no sign of folding yet and betting into the A on the turn when we cant take a call is to much. Unless you had a very strong feeling he would fold to the A on the flop, you cant expect to be making a bet on the river. At these levels villains love calling pf raises with Ax.

Re: 50NL - TT line check
My line of thought was that if I didn't show strenght on the turn villain would bluff me out with any two. So by repping the ace I prevent this as well as take it down if he doesn't have an ace.
So I guess next time I should just give up on turn. |

Re: 50NL - TT line check
As most have said before I check the turn as well for pot control. Hopefully Villain will check behind.
The tricky part IOM is the river, if you check again, you almost have to call a reasonable bet, since you looked so weak that ATC will prolly try to take the pot down. But the bet you call on the river would be no larger than your turnbet anyway. |

Re: 50NL - TT line check
If you didn't have villain pegged as a calling station I could see this move being reasonable. The ace is a great scare card and people often fold in that spot.
