Surely i'm up against a pocket-pair here and I don't want to call for half my stack. |

I fold without reads.

Re: ($11) AK preflop vs big reraise
pf you can get away with raising only to t80, but t100 is fine.
anyway, facing a big reraise like that from a player oop, i think AKo is a muck here, and becomes more a certain muck as stakes increase. in an $11, it's not unreasonable to think that SB's range could include all sorts of nonsense, but it's a bad risk/reward situation for you. |

Re: ($11) AK preflop vs big reraise
this seems pretty standard to me, nh.
There is no reason to take this risk here witht the blinds soo low, you still have a healthy stack here, so fold is good |

I fold, admittedly with reluctance. But I like races with AK too much, so you should probably insta-fold it.

Re: ($11) AK preflop vs big reraise
What makes this a fold here instead of a push?

This is an EASY fold. Suited too.

Re: ($11) AK preflop vs big reraise
Pretty often in situations like this, it's a pocket pair, and PPs vs AK is usually a coinflip (50% chance of winning/losing). There's no reason to push here and take a risk so early when later in the tourny you're likely to have situations where your edge is a lot better. That's my take on it, though.
