So lately i've been playing a lot of three handed winner take all tournaments with a couple of my friends. The blinds in this particular game do not go up until one player has been eliminated, and...

Re: Who Do You Fear on Party?

Sorry I only got this far down in the post and had to comment, Percy (RACER____X) Took a pretty big chunk out of my bankroll when I was trying to make the switch up to higher stakes, very ...

Re: 25/50 Possibly standard hand

i think it's a pretty thin line between a check and a bet... at worst checking loses you one bet; because if you bet and are called by P1 then it sounds like P2 is a good enough player to throw away...

Re: 3rd street play

Got some very helpful responses here, thanks everybody... I find that when i'm in these types of games if i end up making the flush by 5th (three cards to my flush showing) it KILLS my action unless...

Re: 3rd street play

i intentionally left some of these questions open, i think the 3rd street is the obvious decision here, the most important decision is whether overall a hand like 3 low LIVE flush cards are worth...

3rd street play

Alright so here's the situation (STUD HIGH ONLY) let's say you have something like (2s 4s)7s or (8h 2h)4h (three low cards to a flush.) Your suit is completely live, but you are in one of the first...

Re: 200NL: QJs turn decision with top pair + open-ended

really like that play a lot, not just because you're probably behind; but also because in all likelyhood he's probably got some hand he sees as a total monster, and folding will make him dissapointed...

Re: 5/10, \"Im lost\"

isn't Kd Kd, the nuts no matter what the game?

as it went i think i'd make a defensive style bet such as $250-$350, depending on if you're leaning more toward him having somelike like K 10 or...

Re: $3/$6 no limit. AK facing all in bet....

also, does your analysis take into account that folding is guaranteed to lose you the $50 you already invested in this pot? never leave kids in the street

i love how all the weaktights are giving him a perfect tag range of everything beating us and nothing we beat.

this guy probably has TT-KK and is sick of getting overcarded.

Re: $3/$6 no limit. AK facing all in bet....

i would've made the call with the pot being as big as it was to begin with, and i know that it might've been a little tougher than i made it out to be, but i think there's just too many ways for him...

Re: $3/$6 no limit. AK facing all in bet....

yeah, obviously this guy's got balls where are yours? make the call you've got a real good hand... also, why no re-raise preflop? i see no scenario where taking it to $100 doesn't make your life a...

Re: i just folded top two for the first time ever

pretty insane read, lol, if i were that guy i wouldn't show the set for the whole world, no need to give you more info then you already had; esspecially if you're making a laydown of that caliber.....

Re: i just folded top two for the first time ever

so what hand are you putting the other guy on exactly? he can't know that hero has a huge hand, so is he just gambling on the fact that hero has a hand big enough to call an all in when there is an...

Re: i just folded top two for the first time ever

agreed, i used to play hold em with some omaha enthusiasts who loved doing XXXX like this... i don't think that's as easy of a fold as some people are saying, oh well, still probably the right...

alright, just got out of the shower, and came up with a much clearer reason i didn't like the check in any situation... basically even if you had had a deep stack, and you had been able to make a...

Re: I might have messed this one up...

my bad, he did check-raise on the turn, saw it wrong... yeah i agree this isn't the type of hand to check raise, the pot is too big for the villian to be making any decent bet, and then not be forced...

Re: I might have messed this one up...

why the check/call on the turn? if you're going to call anyway you should be semi-bluffing to try and get him to laydown KJ AJ and such... you've been the aggressor on every round so far, definitely...

Re: Flopped trips weak kicker, kinda deep $200 NL

yeah, you played it fine definitely not a fold on the flop. like someone else said, way too many ways for him to have Qx, i like how you waited til the turn to decide what you wanted to do with the...

Re: 600NL. River c/r against a 2p2er?

[ QUOTE ]
check is good here, you'll get a bluff from this player way more often than you'll get a value bet called.

Especially given the weak-looking "call preflop, check flop, probe turn, check...

Re: JJ reraised pot against huge fish

i'd say there's about a 50% chance of the call being right here, and your odds are right to make such a call... it'd be tough for him to have the 3 (because i assume that if he's calling $19...
