Default Flopped trips weak kicker, kinda deep $200 NL

Me and villain both have ~$500. He is a fish, bad enough that he could have something like J 5 suited or just top pair.

I'm in big blind with 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Three people limp, button (villain) limps, SB calls, I check.

Flop is Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], pot is $20.

Hero bets $20, folded to button who raises to $50, SB folds, I call.

Turn is 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], pot is $120

Hero checks, villain bets $100, Hero raises to $280, villain calls.

River is K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], pot is $680.

Hero bets $100, Villain raises all in $170, Hero calls.

Comments on all streets welcome, but I'm most interested in what to do when he raised the flop. He is a bad player, but do I really want to play for a huge pot with no kicker? And yes I should have just shoved on the river.

Thanks

I think you played it fine. And you're right, you should've moved in on the river. He's not folding anything like ever.

looks fine to me, with the addition of a river shove.

On this flop, you need to call because your hand is very strong, and there are still plenty of chips left in your stacks to play with. He will often have Qx or something here, which will play out well for you. And if you spike your kicker or quads, you can take him to stacktown.

yeah, you played it fine definitely not a fold on the flop. like someone else said, way too many ways for him to have Qx, i like how you waited til the turn to decide what you wanted to do with the hand; a turn bet from him lets you better guage EXACTLY where you are in this hand; also by just calling you make him more confident that any queen he has is good, which you definitely want... I really like the check-raise on the turn, he's the type that will definitely stack off with any 5, and as long as he doesn't have Q5 or pocket queens (which he pretty obviously doesn't), you just gave yourself an excellent opportunity to get all your chips in ahead... well played except for the the small mistake on the river

river is lol, but the rest looks fine. I would donk the turn a decent amount, though.
