Re: 10NL 6max JJ as SB, PFR by tighty
[ QUOTE ]
You can't really play for only set value, so I'd 3-bet to ~2.

I did exactly that /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
He went all in then and I folded.

10NL 6max JJ as SB, PFR by tighty
Button is relatively tight ( < 10%), rather passive. Can be pushed off by aggression. Hasn't shown any obvious stealing attempts before.
Button's stack: about 6$, I cover
I have JJ as SB....

Re: Full House on flop as SB - multiway pot
Thanks guys, that makes sense.
I basically just called preflop because of UTG+1's big stack. I'll consider pushing next time.
I still won the hand though (of course /images/graemlins/cool.gif )

Re: Full House on flop as SB - multiway pot
How about pushing on the flop, hoping somebody calls with an ace (pretending we have a flushdraw here)
How about slow playing and just checking and hoping for somebody drawing dead for a flushdraw...

Full House on flop as SB - multiway pot
I called preflop because I already got too many callers for a raise. Is this correct?
What's the best action on the flop?
Holdem No Limit - 200 BB
UTG (2,720)
UTG+1 (8,100)
MP (4,170)

Re: QQ is this a no brainer... and which way?
Ignoring the smooth call preflop and facing the situation of two all-ins I ran this through pokerstove:
player1: 99+,AQs+,KQs,AKo
player2: the ladies
player3: 77+,AJs+,KJs+,QJs,AQo+,KQo
You're...

Re: AK as BB in a raised pot
Ok thanks guys. I did exactly this and villain showed JJ. I put him on a range of 99+,AJs+,AQ+,KJs,KQ and including FE I pushed. I presume that's the reason why we push here, isn't it?
Should this...

Re: KQ.. too weak or OK?
Interesting hand. What is villain trying to achieve with his min-reraise? Lets just hypothetically assume villain is a 2p2 student. First mistake is that min-reraises are a no-no here in 2p2 because...

Re: NL20 6-max, KK vs AAx flop and flush draw
Thanks all for your comments. My bet size is normally between 50-100% of the flop and 75-100% for cbets. I guess I was just lazy /images/graemlins/wink.gif I'll make sure in the future to bet correct...

NL20 6-max, KK vs AAx flop and flush draw
I knew MP would call preflop. MP was fairly loose PF and usually called any PFR (which were seldom enough here). Two hands before I raised UTG with QQ and got villain to fold on a Kxx flop with a pot...

Re: QQ overpair facing shove on flop
Yeah, this looks like a fold to me too. If he was quiet all night, limped in with a small PP, makes a set on the flop and sees that you're raising him. As villain with a PP I would always push here....

Re: $25NL - TPTK facing bad river

Villain raises about 30% PF, maybe 70% from button, so my reraise was based on a read. I expected villain to fold PF, so I didn't mind my bad position.

standard bet here because
a) he could think you're placing a c-bet
b) if he has TP or better he'll probably call

Re: $25NL - flopped a straight on monotone flop
Surely bet (3/4 pot). If he's on a draw or has TP or anything less than an already made flush the flop is as scary to him as it is to you. I would expect a fold in many cases. If you get called, well...
