NL20 6-max, KK vs AAx flop and flush draw
I knew MP would call preflop. MP was fairly loose PF and usually called any PFR (which were seldom enough here). Two hands before I raised UTG with QQ and got villain to fold on a Kxx flop with a pot sized bet. I was playing standard 6max tag.
In this particular hand I was worried that villain had Ax (which was perfectly within his range of limp-calling). Any comments on my bet sizes? Should I have bet on the turn/river? If so, why? Holdem No Limit - $0.2 BB UTG ($18.76) MP ($17.64) CO ($38.52) [Hero] Button ($9.60) SB ($10.84) BB ($1.50) Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Preflop: (5 players, $0.3) MP calls $0.20, Hero raises to $1, 3 folds, MP calls $0.80 Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players, $2.3) MP checks, Hero bets $1, MP calls $1 Turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, $4.3) MP checks, Hero checks River: 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, $4.3) MP checks, Hero checks |

I would bet that river, I dont think an ace is checking that river.

Check on the turn is OK as most villians would slow play trips here. But bet that river.

[ QUOTE ]
he was most likley on Flush Draw [/ QUOTE ] One could get this impression on the river, alright. But how about my bet size on the flop? Would a bet on the turn be a good idea, and if so how much and why? |

Re: NL20 6-max, KK vs AAx flop and flush draw
I would probably pot the flop, or atleast bet 1.5
I like the check on the turn, but from the given action I want to get called on that river by any other pocketpair. Or a K high flush draw that things your bluffing and wants to call with K high to make the "ultimate call" that noobs try to make all the time. |

Re: NL20 6-max, KK vs AAx flop and flush draw
(1) don't bet less then 1/2 pot on the flop. I can't imagine that's your normal flop bet. If it is... you're always too weak. If it isn't, you're advertising weakness.
(2) I'm going to be devil's advocate about the river... sort of. I agree that you probably have the best hand here. But... when you move up and players get better... an ace will checkraise you a lot here. Or people will CR you with air. Betting the river against good players will only be called, typically, by people who have you beat. And note- a weak ace might call you all the way down. |

Re: NL20 6-max, KK vs AAx flop and flush draw
Thanks all for your comments. My bet size is normally between 50-100% of the flop and 75-100% for cbets. I guess I was just lazy I'll make sure in the future to bet correct amounts.
As for the result villain showed a 44 which was also well within his range. |
