Re: 25nl KQ turned top pair on T98Q board

If villain checks to me, I'm gonna CB the flop and hopefully take it down right there.

Villain could easily have a J here (J10, KJ, QJ, J9, etc) and could also have you drawing against his already...

Re: TPTK flop fold

I like the fold as against an unknown who knows what his range is. Could be just a 10, Ad10d, AKd, QJ, a set, K10. I'd wait for a little more information on villain before getting into a big hand...

Re: 25NL: 2pair with AK faces turn heat. Standard line?

I'm betting little more on the turn, more like 3/4 the pot and then it's a no brainer call when he shoves for the extra few bucks. Even with his limp/call PF and C/C the flop, you could easily have...

Re: NL50, TP w/ flush draw...

The 3.5BB lead PF is the "pot." If no one enters that is generally my standard lead. If there are a few limpers I add a BB per limper. If there is a lead in front of me, I raise depending on the...

Re: NL50, TP w/ flush draw... correct play/best line?

I can see the argument for slightly larger bets, but I did think I had villain beat UNTIL the CR. A flush draw or a weaker A was what I had him on with the CC and then the turn check, so I want to...

Re: NL50, TP w/ flush draw... correct play/best line?

[ QUOTE ]
...one advantage of your line is that it disguises your flush draw. Thus, I think you have the implied odds to call the turn, and I think Villain will call some pretty big bets if the...

The rich and the poor...

Do you agree with the statement "To have the rich, you must have the poor." And why is this true or vice versa?

Re: 100NL HU: top set in 4bet pot

I would CB in this spot, especially with the amount of raising and reraising that has been going on.

Insurance or running it twice?

When you're ahead in a hand and a player wants to run it twice, is it better to take insurance on the hand or run it twice?

Re: Stars $4 180 player - standard push?

BB is 300, why shove with this hand and get yourself in trouble? If I'm going after the blinds, I'm raising 2.5-3x the BB here and folding to a shove, you'll still have plenty of chips to shove with...

Re: flopped set, line check

I bet/fold the turn. If I bet the turn and they flat call, I'm only calling the river or checking behind. Your hand has showdown value, but 56, a flush, or a higher set is possible.

Re: nl200 - im a pussy, i wanna fold my 2pairs

If you narrow his range to just AQ/AJ/A10, why not CR the turn? If that is his range, he's drawing to a Q, J, or 10, and a K or 5. That's 9 outs with each hand, but you're worried if a Q, J, or 10...

Re: What\'s the best line here?

Why not bet the turn? TP w/ an open ended draw? C/C seems to lower my advantage. I'm OOP, so checking it just going to show weakness and give him a chance to fire behind me, putting me to a...

Re: KK deep, bet sizing?

I would have raised to more like $15-20 PF, lessening the pot on the flop, and then bet around 3/4 the pot on the flop.

I'm calling an all-in PF unless I have a solid read.

He called your RR PF...

Re: nl200 - im a pussy, i wanna fold my 2pairs

PF: I can see the call if you're OTB, but in the SB and OOP for the rest of the way, I'd fold. Being 4-handed and if you sense weakness though, I could also see raising here, but I'm not calling.

Re: NL 200 - JTs

If you don't CB here and then he bets the turn, how do you know where you're at? He could have a set, AJ, Ax and come leading out on the turn as you showed weakness.

IMO, he most likely has Ax...

Re: Am I pot commited?

PF fold, easily in this situation.

Let's say you do call, why CR the flop so big and even question committing yourself? If he is just betting small to steal the pot right there, a small CR should...

Re: QQ vs. lrr/open-shove

I'd say your call preflop makes your decision on what you do post flop.

If you were just calling the reraise preflop to avoid an A or a K and then stack him, you've successfully done so, so call...

Re: TT OOP

67s, 78s could be his hand here also. A suited A8 could also be a hand as he is in position and you do not have a read on him.

I'd agree with betting more like $14-15 on the flop.

With his...
