Am I pot commited?
I understand the preflop play is bad on this hand, however when I check raise the flop, am I pot commited?
I did the math and there was a total, after the CR on the turn, of $118 in the pot. The call had to be $27 on the turn. Assuming he has KK, AA, I am about an 85% dog, and if he has JJ or QQ I am about 70/30 dog. So if I fold he wins 100% of the time 118$. If I call $27 more dollars with roughly 15-20% equity in the pot, assuming he has possibly sometimes has JJ, and for sure as strong as TT, QQ, KK, or AA. was it correct to fold here? Re: Am I pot commited?
wow i hate this hand.
fold PF! why did you ch/r flop? given that you did, either make it smaller so you can fold, or just shove because hes so short. but seriosuly, you can just call the flop because he made such a rediculously small bet. you usually have at least 7 outs sometimes 10 so youre getting odds |

Re: Am I pot commited?
PF fold, easily in this situation.
Let's say you do call, why CR the flop so big and even question committing yourself? If he is just betting small to steal the pot right there, a small CR should get him out anyway and not commit you, otherwise make the move and shove in because he's short. Don't even give yourself the option here of having to call because you committed yourself. As cs3 said, you can just call the bet getting about 4-1. Worst case scenario (AA, KK, 1010, 99, 55) you have at least 4 outs to your straight. Something else... with the play you made, you're getting 4-1 on your call, same as what you're getting to call the small flop bet. You're very weak, so why risk the extra $32.50 on the CR? |

Re: Am I pot commited?
I too, was avoiding the answer to his "Am I pot commited" question. I would call, but I don't know if it's right or not.

Re: Am I pot commited?
Does anyone just call flop once making a loose call pf and just stack off on a KQ or J?
Am I the only one? |

Re: Am I pot commited?
Problem is that the flop bet is so weak I guess nerly everyone would raise it up just to take the pot right there on the flop.
