Re: Stars $1/$2 linecheck

With this many people in the turn c/r for value is ok. Hero is about 2:1 to hit. But I want to point out that with 4 players in the pot it is not unlikely that someone has a better heart...

Stars $1/$2 linecheck
I haven't played limit for ages, but SnGs were down on stars, so I took a crack.
I got slated for this but I'm confident its not puke.

Harrington\'s Ms and Qs
Does anyone pay attention to these? It seems all ICM calcs focus on BB/stack ratio rather than M.
M values as advocated in HoH seem to encourage loose pushes in ICM terms. Is this right or is it...

Re: $6.5 AKo late
Yeah looking back at his stack size I should have pushed PF. My raise gave him over 2-1, and a larger raise would have committed him, so I should have pushed. Nm.
He showed QJs.

Re: Stars - $3.4 - AQo - Is this too nitty?

Are you afraid of getting stacked by AK or something? You need to realize that he's raising A9,AT,AJ,KQ,QJ and tons of other hands you are dominating. Pushing is fine, but so is calling...

Re: Stars - $3.4 - AQo - Is this too nitty?
OK, so do I call, and play the hand OOP, or do I raise, knowing that he is happy to get his chips in with a 88+, AJs. I folded because I figured I stood risk losing a lot for the chance of a small...

Re: Home game, heads up with 22
[ QUOTE ]
Second hand I get 22 (both black) in the BB and he makes it 1000 to go (blinds were 150 / 300 - not going to increase for another 20 minutes or so). I now have around 6000 and he's at...

Stars - $3.4 - AQo - Is this too nitty?
Villian wasn't good, and had his big stack as a result of getting all in in L1 with AJo v AK. In that case he raised 4.5BB PF and called a shove. I was worried about his smaller raise, and that this...

Re: $6.50 Stars Limping vs. raising

Twisted is right. You can't limp off this much of your stack. I'd shove against most limpers.

Fold or shove PF. As played shove flop.

Why do you need an edge?
Can someone please explain why people advocate requiring an edge in ICM calculations before acting? Surely if a move is +$EV then you should take it, even if it is only +0.1%.
Is the edge...

Re: Stars SnG
Calling two prior AI PF raises w/ QQ? I doubt this is +$EV. Anyway, it made me laugh. I got some back for all the prior bubble busts where there is a 2BB shorty and someone calls my ATC AI with A2o.
