Default $6.50 Stars Limping vs. raising

Are we raising pf? I think the flop and turn calls are ok, but by chasing this down I end up spewing 1/3rd of my stack. Comments?

I would either push or fold preflop, depending on how the limper plays.

You are getting less than 3-1 on turn surely this is a fold.

Twisted is right. You can't limp off this much of your stack. I'd shove against most limpers.

Fold or shove PF. As played shove flop.

Pot is T750 and its 200 to call or 3.75:1 pot odds. The Jack on the turn made him double gutted, so he is at least 30% (2.5:1 dog) to make his hand.

As others have said, I'd probably push preflop, and as played I'd push on the flop

push preflop, or push flop as played, you don't check/call down draws, get them in on the flop with 12bb's

A rule of thumb is to go all-in when a standard raise would be 30% of your stack. Here a standard raise would be right on the cusp. Given you would have position, being on the button, and a standard raise would be just less than 30%, raising seems like it can't be bad. I think it's not an easy choice to know which is better (standard raise vs. push), since it's probably close.

If you're multi-tabling, pushing would be easier.

Given how the flop came, a standard raise would have left you in perfect shape to push on the flop.

You're not deep enough for limping to be as good as raising or pushing.

Given your limp, I agree with pushing on the flop. That's an easy decision. You have lots of fold equity, and you probably are probably about 50/50 to win anyway, even if you're behind. Definitely getting it all in on the flop is the way to go here.
