$6.5 AKo late
Should I have just pushed PF? I seem to have trouble playing where effective stacks are 10-15BB...

Re: $6.5 AKo late
Yeah looking back at his stack size I should have pushed PF. My raise gave him over 2-1, and a larger raise would have committed him, so I should have pushed. Nm.
He showed QJs. |

Re: $6.5 AKo late
since you got one limper, effective blinds are 600/1.5=400
even without looking at the effective stacks of the other players, this is a very easy push pf for me. if you raise, don't do it with cards that need improvement. with them you wanna see the whole board and not only the flop. cheerio. |

Re: $6.5 AKo late
I think a push pre-flop is standard here.
I read somewhere on here (too lazy to look the post up) that with AK and a pot <1/20th your stack (or multiple limpers) you should move in preflop. I recently started doing this with good results - Is this a good rule to go by? |

Re: $6.5 AKo late
Moving allin with AK is never -EV. Pushing limpers/raisers is almost never -EV either, unless you push over someone who only plays the very best hands. Here you have an enourmous fold equity and you should be really happy to pick up the t500 in the pot. If he calls pf its just a bonus.

Re: $6.5 AKo late
Gotta love a player who puts 35% of his stack in preflop with QJs.

[/ QUOTE ] sure. in the pot is: 5*25(ante)+200(limp)+300(blinds)=625 just noticed i forgot to calculate one ante in.. if you divide this by 1.5 (is it divide by? am not sure with this .. ) you'll get an effective blind. see, when it comes to you, the pot is nearly the same like in the level 200/400 without antes. that's why you should not raise and just push it in. |
