Re: AK - TP with awkward stacks

Unless UTG has got two pair or better, you're most likely dominating him. I would put in a pot-sized raise and if UTG gives any more resistance I'm ready to fold.

Re: $5NL Correct fold with TPWK?

Good fold, you're behind here most of the time. Calling an all-in with TPWK without a read is bad.

Re: Line check: AK whiffs flop multiway, but improves on 4th & 5th

Because there's still two others in the pot and when you call they have better odds to draw to a flush or straight. You do have a point though.

Re: Line check: AK whiffs flop multiway, but improves on 4th & 5th

I might raise the turn here and fold if he reraises.

Your bet on the river is way too big.. You got your nuts, you don't want to scare your opponent away, you want to value bet.

Re: AJ Standard?

Would anyone raise the turn as a semibluff? You just got a flush draw and your opponent bets quite weak compared to the pot sized raise he made on the flop. This tells me that he made a strong hand...

Re: 10NL, don\'t cbet here? (simple question)

Everybody hits the flop only 1/3 of the time (if you don't have a pair). Just bet out on the flop unless he is a calling station, slow down on the turn if called.

Re: Hypothetical TP situation

I would think about my image, and the villains range. I wouldn't steal from a calling station (you wouldn't either?), so I would think about the villains range on the preflop call (how big of an ace,...

Re: Money Management and Bankroll in NL Hold\'em

Bankroll for NL should be 20 maximum buy-ins, and always buy in for the maximum amount.

Re: How do I get value here?

Bet the pot on the flop, there are draws here that will call you. Trying for a check-raise on the turn is fine.

As he didn't bet you on the turn, the river bet is correct.
If you think there is...

Re: KK worth it here? 25NL

Raise more than to 3. Call the all in. Others might be holding QQ, possibly JJ, AK. But I guess someone had AA because you posted this.

Questions and thoughts about semi-bluffing

First of all, I play NL30.

Lately I've been thinking about semi-bluffing.
I often use the semi-bluff, especially with flush draws, because:

Re: NL10: AK OOP difficult flop

And the showdown...

MP1 shows A7, a weaker ace. As expected.
UTG+1 shows... 33.

UTG+1 added to buddy list.

Re: NL10: AK OOP difficult flop

Yes. my standard raise is 0.4-0.5 $, and with so many limpers I decided to put a large bet in there..Perhaps a bit too much, but still got plenty of callers...

I didn't value bet the river because...

Re: Top set on a dangerous flop

Thanks for the replies. My biggest concern on the flop was to get atleast one call; I had not seen much tricky play on the table, and figured they had weak hands.
But I guess I shouldn't take this...

Top set on a dangerous flop

Great! I flopped top set! But did I play this correctly?

Once a few short stacks went all in on the flop and UTG+1 raised for $6, I was pretty sure someone had flopped a straight/lower set/two...

KQs limp or raise?

No reads on individuals, but many limpers on most pots (as usual in this limit). I raise preflop to make the pot shorthanded (is this standard?), and I get a four-flush from the flop. Should I have...
