Default Hypothetical TP situation

Ok, I have seen alot of similar hands come up and although I havent been raised, I would be confused about what to do if it happened

Say I am on a steal with an average hand say A8s. Get one caller in the blinds.

Flop comes A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I bet about 2/3 pot and get raised. What do I need to think about in this situation and how would you guys play it. Please tell me the conditions if you play it in many ways.

same applies for any TP hand that gets raised.

Default Re: Hypothetical TP situation

I would think about my image, and the villains range. I wouldn't steal from a calling station (you wouldn't either?), so I would think about the villains range on the preflop call (how big of an ace, or any two to bluff you later on?), and what kind of a hand could he make the flop play with.
So the play depends alot on the players.

Against a solid player I would fold the A8s, because I don't want to play a big/medium pot with one pair, bad kicker.
