How do I get value here?

I think the first flop bet is a little too small and the river bet is a little too big? What do you recommend? I hate the turn. I should have leaded (me thinks).

Bet the pot on the flop, there are draws here that will call you. Trying for a check-raise on the turn is fine.

As he didn't bet you on the turn, the river bet is correct.
If you think there is a chance he will call the big river bet (any reads?), that's fine, but you could have just gone for a 1/2-3/4 pot value bet.

Sorry, no reads because he has been at the table only for some rounds. His VPIP was around 10 at the time. I've been raising pretty much and betting flops and taking down pots so he might just be on steal.
