Re: PC FPS gamers: WASD vs Arrows

WASD gives you access to 11 other keys (2,3,q,e,r,caps,f,z,x,c,lshift) that are ALL closer than the closest key to the arrows. And then you have access to 11 more (`,1,4,5,tab,t,g,v,lctrl,lalt,space)...

Re: why hockey is dumb

[ QUOTE ]
Another one to ponder: On the penalty kill, when the penalized team has puck possession in their end and is relatively free from fore checking pressure, why don't they just skate around...

Re: Actors who are in tons of movies, but youve never heard their name

I had a hard time finding the imdb page because I couldn't remember his name: Clint Howard (http://imdb.com/name/nm0397212/)

But he has to be mentioned. Most of his credits are bit parts, but...

Re: What does 32/7, etc. mean?

Roughly, it means that villain plays about 32% of his hands preflop and raises 7% of his hands preflop.

That's not a precise definition, but it'll do.

Re: Good example of folding equity to make a play profitable?

If you put him on AK/JJ+, then there are 16 combinations of AK and 24 combinations of JJ+.

Which means if he reraises AK/JJ+ every time from SB and makes a cbet on that flop every time, then he's...

Re: AA nl100 - too passive line?

You want to play for your stack with AA pre-flop.

But once the flop comes down and you didn't improve, all you have is one pair. You probably still have the best hand, but your goal shouldn't be...

If he's betting his top pair for value, do you think he would call the river raise or fold to it?

Re: .999~ = 1, Agree?

[ QUOTE ]
The problem is stated exactly the same if you put the numbers into fractional form, in any base. I think what you are saying is that the weird thing with .9999... in base 10 is that...

Re: .999~ = 1, Agree?

If that's commonly accepted definition of an infinite series, so be it. A definition is a definition. I was taught otherwise (I think - it's been a long time!), am I still a moran?

I am pretty amazed actually. I never ever came across the concept that .999... was the same as 1. We're taught in British schools (or at least I was) that infinite series are...

It is irrelevant what level of math this is. To call someone pathetic simply for not grasping a concept is incredibly weak.

Re: man to be executed for drug trafficking..
