Default I Don\'t Use Soap

I take a long hot shower every morning (sometimes also a shower at night). I feel clean when I get out. No one has ever told me I smell unless I've been playing a lot of sports and sweating. I rarely get sick.

Is there any reason for me to use soap? I'm lazy, and I don't see any reason for it. Who's with me?

Do I (or anyone) really have to explain this to you? It's an antibacterial agent - i.e. to get rid of bacteria that is on your person.

Your argument reminds me of the guys who don't wash their hands after they piss - sure, urine is sterile, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't take advantage of a great opportunity to disinfect yourself by washing your effing hands!

you don't understand how reducing the amount of bacteria on your body can promote good health. Go call Louis Pasteur.

tuq -

Most anti-bacterial soaps don't kill all the bacteria and just leave behind the mutated strains of super-bacteria that are resistant to anti-biotics. Many people think that anti-bacterial soap will be the downfall of civilization (ok, slight hyperbole), so I'm not sure that's a great argument for using soap, especially on a daily basis all over your body.
