Re: 50nl 4tabling video smartLAG
Why do all the people sitting to your left have such huge stacks?
It would be easier to follow the action if the reload popup didn't keep covering the table.

Re: NL 25-AQ do you call this?
I think it's close.
You are a slight favorite over KQs / KJs. You have AJ, A9-A3, KK-JJ, 99-33 crushed. You are crushed by AT, A2, AK, TT, 22, and even the possible slowplayed AA.
With no...

Tulalip NL Structure Changing
The 100/200 buyin game is changing to 100/300 (3/5 blinds).
The 300/500 buyin game may be scrapped, and the 500/1000 game made 300/1000 (Not sure but I assume 10/20 blind).
This came from an...

Re: How \"swingy\" is backgammon?
Backgammon is a tremendously swingy game.
There are many rolls per game, and many of those rolls contain a 17:1 or even 8:1 'joker' that will turn the position around significantly. Taken...

Re: NL25 - Butchering Monsters
hand 2:
Why do people always think a flush draw is the nuts?
At those tables, you get called with top pair or an overpair a good portion of the time. There is little dead money in the pot, so...

Re: Backgammon by Paul Magriel
No offense, but searching 2+2 for backgammon info is a bit like searching Sears for lacy lingerie. You might find something that will work, but it's certainly not their specialty.

Re: Backgammon by Paul Magriel
IIRC, the latest edition corrects some of the errata in previous editions, and the content is the same.
For the best read of Magriel, I would recommend you also buy Classic Backgammon Revisited by...

Re: USE THE BOOK FOR WHAT THE AUTHOR INTENDS!
IMHO, it's an issue of bet size relative to pot size, the frequency that you think you can get calls on your bets with strong hands, and the frequency that you can get folds with your bluffs or weak...

Damn, I guess I should not have donated those 2 dozen PartyPoker.com hats and jerseys to the local Little League team!
I can't bear to think what will happen when the paddy wagon comes for those...

Re: Best value for 100K Party Points?
ipod is high on my list, but I'm an ipod noob.
1) Is the 60 GB version worth the extra 1/3 cost over 30GB?
(I could get a 30GB version and get an ipod shuffle for the wife with the balance)

Best value for 100K Party Points?
OK so this is probably more of a 'personal preference' thing, but I thought I'd ask.
I've quit Party and I have 102,000 PartyPoints to spend before they expire.
What would you pick from the PP...

Re: Error on page 47 of NLHE T&P?
The context of the whole scenario is that you are quite sure that you have the best hand and your opponent, having checked to you on the turn, is drawing.
The example is given to show various...

A big difference between BG and poker is that for all 'cash-games' (ie - non-tournament play) currently available online, you are playing Heads-Up. You get an invitation to play and...

I had the same experience with gammonempire, which is a skin of play65. Several days to process cashout and the customer service seemed to have an attitude. Could just be a culture thing, I don't...

Posting on the forum (being calm and rational) I think I agree with mucking the flop in most games, although I don't play in the ABS 5/10.
In practice in an aggressive game I probably take the...

Re: My sexy gets 3-bet!
3 bets on the turn and 1 on the river seem right to me for your hand.
Your notes on villain do suggest he is a reasonably aware player. A7 is a decent CO stealing hand and raising flop with Ace...

Re: QQ
If you 3-bet pf and lead the flop then you can check-call the river hoping villain will bet a worse hand.
As played you need to bet/call the river IMO.
