"The state plans to hire an investigator to enforce the new law."

And, "The Seattle Times my be afoul of the new law because we print a poker how to column "Card Shark" by Daniel Negreanu"

These laws are so ridiculous and crazy it is insane.

The article also says, "1984 has arrived."

How true that is. Jesus. So it is now illegal to print Daniel's poker column in the newspaper? But I gues they can print the winning lottery numbers at will.Holy moses

Wow, no offense to you Washington folks, but your state SUCKS. What a bunch of hypocritical, god-fearing, right wing nonsense, regulating what adults not only do in their own homes but can read and SPEAK about. WTF. I'm across the country and this pisses me off.

I think the entire online poker community needs to pounce on this state so a disgusting precedent is not set. Any ideas?

Jeff

Even though I completely agree with you that its rediculous, this legislation was brought in by a democrat, and Washington in general is a very liberal state. Its funny how some people categorize anything they dont like as God fearing right wing.

Um, not one democrat voted against it. And Christine Gregoire (democrat) signed it into law.

Yea, that was a rant and I know nothing of Wash. politics. But, this TYPE of legislation is typically meant to force morals values on people who have different views. I guess in this state, it may be to protect indian gaming interests.

I still find this ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. What has this country come to honestly? I am a responsible adult, I pay my taxes...don't tell me how to use my money.

Dont blame the right wing for this garbage, its a democratic governor who had dead people vote for her that passed it. May she rot in hell.
