5/10, A7o in BB vs CO, turn ace and small flushdraw

First hand at the table. Never seen villain before.

Check/raise? Check/call? Bet/call?

I don't know if I'm protecting or drawing, but I probably don't have a lot of fold equity except against...

Right. That is my standard line. Do most of you/us here actually do that, though? I feel like this flop...

Ace-high nut flush draw out of position

Villain is 35/14:ish over a decent sample.

5/10 6-max.

I open in MP with AJs. Villain makes it three bets from the CO. Folded to me, and I call.

Flop comes 8-6-2, with the 8 and 6 in my...

Re: Hand Win %s

PokerStove? I'm not sure what you're asking otherwise. Clearly the win % otherwise differs depending on your VP$IP, your WTSD, etc.

Without a read I fold this preflop once the button has coldcalled. I hate my hand, I hate my position, and I hate my lack of a read.

Re: Waiting till the turn 3way, then folding the river

Re: Waiting till the turn 3way, then folding the river

When a player who "is vaguely TAGish and overrates top pair" decides to just call the flop raise and then donk the turn, that smells of a bet/3-bet to me. If we raise the very dry flop, we're loudly...

Re: Slowplay then valuebet

Just a sidenote, but you need to divide 2162 in half, otherwise you're counting AsKs as a different hand than KsAs. This is OK if you're consistent, but you're not counting T8 as 32 hands.

Re: Waiting till the turn 3way, then folding the river

If SB donks the turn also, I'm not raising.

Re: Waiting till the turn 3way, then folding the river

Even if we stipulate that SB will always fire the turn, and BB will always call one (and then another one, I guess) bet on the flop but never a single bet on the turn, we get:

2+2 small bets, and...

Re: Waiting till the turn 3way, then folding the river

I thought the play was standard so I didn't explain myself. Looks like I might need to now.

I think this is a perfectly OK spot to wait until the turn to raise, given our reads. We know that we...

Re: TT river trouble.

I don't think calling is -EV, given this read.

Edit: Despite the pot being protected, etc. I think it's close, but I think it's 0 or slightly +EV to call here.

Re: What would you do?

Although you didn't quite say the opposite, it's worth pointing out that playing twice the tables doesn't automatically equal moving down to half the limits, much the same way that playing at a table...

Re: Eh River Decision

The straight draw coming in is of no consequence since we have a flush. But does SB - readless - really bet into two players with a worse flush than ours?

Edit: ... , or bluff, more than 10% of...

Re: Calling Raises in SB

It makes sense, but there's more than one flavor of donk out there and different hands play well against different kinds of donks. Against a BB who likes to raise whenever he hits anything at all but...

Re: AJs River line

Right. There are probably situations where what I said CAN be true - but what I mistakenly thought was that it was ALWAYS true. This is clearly not the case.

Sorry for the derail.

Bet/fold on 2+2, bet/call at the table.

At the table, I check behind. I know I can't stop myself from calling if I'm raised, and I sleep pretty well at night.
