If SB donks the turn also, I'm not raising.

No? Well I would

Another thing is that if Hero raises the flop SB may 3-bet a worse K so Hero can cap. If I was hero I would be a lot more reluctant to cap the turn if I waited with the raise.

Basically I just think that raising the flop makes the hand easier to play on later streets and in my experience makes the same or more profit as waiting to the turn

When a player who "is vaguely TAGish and overrates top pair" decides to just call the flop raise and then donk the turn, that smells of a bet/3-bet to me. If we raise the very dry flop, we're loudly proclaiming that we have a strong hand and that king did not scare us.

So with that information, what does he hope will happen if he leads out on the turn? I get 3-bet a lot when I raise turn donks against this type of player, and I'm never, ever ahead with one pair when that happens.

Maybe I have been running good because that is not my experience at all. Anyways, you make good points and maybe I should reevaluate my play in those spots.

Oops: river was an 8 not a 6. I don't think this changes much.

Guy.

This looks fine. The SB's river donk is very odd. It's hard for me to put him on a set b/c he didn't 3-bet preflop. The BB looks like he filled a gutshot, or maybe he made two pair on the river. Either way, you're beat.

I think this is fine, and I think raising the turn is fine also.

I think I disagree that SB's hand is often top pair. This is a rainbow board and it's only 3-way, and he has a maniac to his left to "raise to knock you out." I think he has 9x, 5x, or even JT/QJ pretty often here, and after he gets two calls on this flop, he could very well check the turn with many of these hands. I think we have a massive equity edge, and I don't think that we will always be able to capitalize on it on the turn, so I would choose to put more bets into the pot when I'm 100% sure I can.
