Re: KQo gets 3 bet OOP

This line is fine, because it's most probably a WA/WB situation.

Just one thing to consider - don't you think that the 3-bettor's range is too narrow here? This isn't an EP raise, it's almost a...

Re: Titan Hand converter?

I use this one (http://rapidshare.com/files/50983672/HHConverterTitan.zip.html ) . It's not perfect but it works fine.

Re: Fourflush on the river with TPGK

I really dont want to fold in a pot this size and I cant see calling a raise, I think that is my point.

That's why it's called a crying call. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: SB vs. BB hits TP but faces a raise

Yeah, you are all right, there's no excuse for not raising PF here.

BTW, you suggested folding J7 PF if BB wasn't so damn tight. Is this standard?

I started paying more attention to blind...

Re: Fourflush on the river with TPGK

Well he was seeing literally every flop (VPIP 100%) and given this I strongly believe my river bet was a pure value bet.

I admit that after the raise I found it really hard to fold for one more...

I'm still not convinced this is an easy call.

Re: Fourflush on the river with TPGK

Does everyone hate a check behind on this river? There are a lot of worse hands that are calling but FDs and SDs must be a huge part of vils range and Im not sure I would risk 2 BB to find...

SB vs. BB hits TP but faces a raise

Villain is BB with stats 11.1/6.1/2.53 over 260 hands. Seems like a very tight player but my impression is that he is capable of raising a FD or a middle pair in this particular situation. His flop...

Re: Fourflush on the river with TPGK

[ QUOTE ]
Besides would he bet here if he had the flush, he would check-raise, right?

[/ QUOTE ]
Not necessarily. It's actually player dependent. Some straightforward bad players who only play...

Re: Fourflush on the river with TPGK

Villain is BB with stats 100/21/0.79 over 28 hands. Very lose preflop but after that he goes very passive and just calls down any pair and sometimes even A-high. I didn't see him raising postflop so...

Re: Fourflush on the river with TPGK

No, no and no. We don't have a read here. 22 hands is nothing and AF converges much slower than some other stats.

I call this river against the unknown. I expect to lose to a flush of course, but...

I can certainly tell the difference at Party from when I played .5/1 in 2004-05 to the games today.

Re: Did I play this right ?

No, hidden outs is something different. They are outs you "don't see". An example:
You hold AA on a QJ57 board. Your opponent holds QJ. Here you don't only have 2 outs (two aces) but also 6 more...

Re: Did I play this right ?

Oh, one more thing - you don't clean exactly your outs, cleaning other cards is also important so "blank" cards remain blank. Let's say you hold KQ on the flop J92. Even though at the moment the best...

Re: Did I play this right ?

You increase your pot equity. You "clean your outs". For example if you hold two overcards against a lower made pair (let's say A and Q) and you make people who reverse dominate you to fold their...

Re: K7 in BB hits 2P2K on dry flop, SB leads

Let's see it from the SB's perspective for a moment. Small pot, dry board, BB on his left has a random hand and is a tight player, while at the same time another player who raises preflop quite often...

K7 in BB hits 2P2K on dry flop, SB leads

SB is 18.4/7.37/1.68 over 217 hands. Haven't seen him done anything unusual so no special notes yet.

MP3 is loose 42.6/14.7/0.9 over 68 hands, his WTSD is 30%.

Re: Q8s blind steal meets resistance from BB, flops 2nd pair

What do you mean? In the "AQ5" case? I just fold because I'm beat on the flop already.

If you are asking about "A85", well... I think I would check behind river UI. Not many worse hands would...

Re: I hit TPMK, multiway pot and OOP

I agree with both of you. But what about flop, was it good or would you play it differently? Thanks.

EDIT: aha, I see you added something and answered my question.
