Cincinnati (5 hole cards)
Has anyone ever played this? I heard of it once before and thought about trying it out in a home game sometime.

Re: is there any other way?
I don't think that a passive opponent, which his opponent appears to be, is going to raise if he has 23 and two diamonds on the flop. They only get excited when they have a made hand. Thats why I...

Re: is there any other way?
I wouldn't bet the turn, you might get a free card, which you need since your oponents seem like calling stations, the only good river card besides the board pairing is a nine. I might fold the river...

Re: Pickung up AAK4 double suited in small blind
sometimes i will raise with a hand like AQ34 ds because usually whenever someone raises they automatically assume that the raiser has either A2xx or AAxx. This way, when a flop comes down that looks...

In everyone's experience, what game have you found to have the least variance? Stud 8 maybe?

Re: 50PLO full ring KTQ9
Depends on the player. If he's clueless, i'll usually fire a pot bet on the turn, because most fish will reraise you there on the flop if they have a full house. The problem is if he does have that...

I should have clarified that I was talking about Pot Limit.
And I do think it is like picking up pocket queens in texas holdem (No limit or Pot Limit) in the same situation. Say you are playing a...

Re: Pickung up AAK4 double suited in small blind
I was just wondering, because this is somewhat similar to picking up to pocket queens in the small blind in texas holdem, its a really strong hand, but you are out of position the enitre hand and you...

Here's a strategy question, if you pick up this hand in the small blind, would you guys usually raise it up, or wait to see a flop for cheap? (Consider that raising will not get the hand anywhere...

yeah usually I have found that these people are chasing a backdoor low. It's funny though, half the time if you check raise them they'll call a pot sized bet, but they won't bet the pot. If the turn...

I think raising is dumb UTG with that hand no matter what stack sizes are unless you are chip leader with a lot of weak opponents. Call or fold, but If im right in the middle of the pack I'd lean...
