Re: Probability of trips VS Trips

Can you get more specific on the exact question you want answered? Are you asking what the chances of a set over set occurring on the flop if you both had pocket pairs? i.e. 55 vs. 88 on a flop of...

EV and Variance

It has been awhile since I did much math, and I'm sure this has been discussed but I can't find a good answer to it... so if someone can point me to a resource or just answer this I would greatly...

Both of these are at the same nine handed 4/8...

Ok turn semibluff C/R here?

Live 4/8 eight handed

EP is loose/semi aggressive. I've seen him bet unimproved AK the whole way, and I've seen him fold to a turn raise after he showed strength the whole hand. Given all that,...

AA to a turn raise on a scary board

Live 4/8 eight handed

Table is mostly loose passive. Button is tight passive. Do you ever pay off here to a tight passive?

Re: KQ turns 2pair on 92QK board and gets minraised.

Agreed that these spots just make ya sick. You're getting 2.8 to 1 which is certainly a very nice price on the river when you have top two, but villain could absolutely have flopped a set or turned...

Value of being in the right seat

So a situation came up this week when I was playing that made me ask myself a question I never really have before. Before we get to that question, here's the story:

So I'm sitting at an 8 handed...

Top two facing turn C/R

Live 4/8 seven handed. Short description of the other 6 would be 1 LAG, 3 loose passives, one reasonable player and villain. Villain in this hand is a young punk who thinks he knows everything...

\"How about an upgrade?\"

Does it really work in vegas if you slip a $50 or $100 at the checkin desk to get an upgrade for a weekend? I hear stories of people getting free or cheap upgrades all the time but most of these...

Two B&M NL questions

So I've mostly always been a limit player but I've been brushing up my NL and I'm going to take a shot at it in Vegas in my coming trip.

If you're in a 200NL game or whatever... does anyone keep a...

I remember when I could beat this game

So I played quite a bit in high school and college, from about 99 til 04, and made a decent amount of money playing. I don't play nearly as much anymore, but I play online whenever I get the itch.
