Vegas for NCAA hoops 1st/2nd rounds
I'm sure this is posted around this time every year... but I gotta do it.
I'm trying to decide if its worth it to head to Vegas for the first weekend of the NCAA tourney. I really really like watching the games, so that would be my first priority... but I thought it'd be fun to bet on a lot of them and play some poker in the late evenings as well. Can anyone share their experiences about if there are good places to watch the games that don't require getting up at 5am to reserve a seat in the sports book, or how crazy Vegas gets that weekend? Are there lots of good poker side games too with all the tourists in town? Thanks! |

Re: Vegas for NCAA hoops 1st/2nd rounds
Thu am you don't have to get up until 7 am. Otherwise, 5-6am it is. Everywhere. This is my 11th year: Sahara, MGM, Luxor, Mandalay, Mirage, Bally's, HRock, Trop.
The games are *awesome* and full of tourists. Highly rec getting some poker in whenever possible. |

Ill give ya the POY kid for your M.Madness...last few years we have gone to Palms...the Lounge by the entrance shows all the games, its great. Relatively empty early, all you need to do is get there by mid-morning to have a seat...come by say hi; we will have the loudest guy in there and the most booze!

What is this waking up early stuff? Play poker till 5am, book a seat.
The action will probably be pretty good at the tables for NBA all star too eh Najdorf? I may go just for the drunk Entourages playin the Texas Hold Em. |
