Default Top two facing turn C/R

Live 4/8 seven handed. Short description of the other 6 would be 1 LAG, 3 loose passives, one reasonable player and villain. Villain in this hand is a young punk who thinks he knows everything there is to know about everything, but has some obvious complete misunderstandings about poker and life. I haven't seen him play that many hands, but he seems to try to play reasonable hands and may have FPS.

I'm dealt K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on the button. Villain limps from early, a loose passive limps, I limp, both blinds come along.

Flop K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Checks to me, I bet, blinds fold, villain and other call.

Turn 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Checks to me, I bet, Villain now checkraises, other folds and I just call.

My original plan was to raise the river regardless of what comes, except maybe a 5, because I figured if he was making a play here he'd muck to a 3bet, but may fire another barrel on the river if I just call. I didn't think he would have played any 2 pair here other than maybe 54s, 55 is certainly likely, or he could have been goofy with something like AA. I still don't know if I like just calling here... so it is obviously the main reason for this post since this situation is fairly common. Do you bump it up again here and call down to a 4bet? If they just call the 3bet do you bet all river cards? OK now that I've written this I think I may like 3betting more. Enough on this one... what does everyone think?

Anyway, river is the 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] which takes all thought out the hand.

Villain bets I raise, to which he says "You bet and called with a 9?" He calls, and mhig obviously. I'll followup with what he had and what he said about the hand which certainly got me laughing inside.

Thanks!

i love that description. ha. about life especially. that's great.

about the hand, i'd be frustrated if i didn't put in one more raise somewhere, so on the turn would be the right spot i think, and then call down if he caps. if he caps the turn, i worry about 55, really.
as you said, he may have AA. he may also have something weird which i can't imagine. that happens a lot.

given how it turned out and his comment, my guess is he had AK...

Putting in the last possible raise for that round. Most limit holdem allows a raise, a reraise and then a further reraise which is known as capping the round as nobody else can put another raise in.

Beware of interpoker, they don't have a cap and i misjudged the nuts in one hand and lost a huge amount of money and felt like a complete idiot.
