Re: 2/4 FullTilt Line check

Whoops, I rechecked the action, definitely B/F. I thought that villain 3-betted pf and hero was oop.

Re: 3/6 A5s, Lots of Room for Debate

also, my point was our Ahigh is the best hand pf some decent portion of the time. a bit simplistic, but folding the best hand is leaving money on the table.

Re: 3/6 A5s, Lots of Room for Debate

James: I do play well enough postflop but I still don't think that playing this hand is +EV. I guess I'm passing on small edges sometimes, but I do dodge the -EV ones as well. I have over 2.5BB/100h...

Re: called the 3-bet because of the good odds...

Given the size of the pot C/R ai on the flop is the best line imo.

If villain is not a complete nit without any creativity I think that you played this hand very well.

Re: 2/4 FullTilt Line check

I would 3-bet the flop too and this turn is the perfect spot for a C/F.

Re: Live 6/12 QQ on the button

The pot is 10,25BB.

You must raise to protect your hand even though you're behind some per cent of the time.

Re: 3/6 A5s, Lots of Room for Debate

But that's the problem James. With a hand like this you just don't want postflop action since you can't get into a nice 5-way+ pot cheaply. If your opponents play a lot of hands you can tighten your...

Re: 3/6 A5s, Lots of Room for Debate

I agree with Allday Everyday - this is a clear pf fold and it's not debatable.

Re: called, called, called, raised!-Live

Jam it up! I really doubt he as AK or KT-9 and if he does it's normal variance.

Re: Two takes on the same hand

Question 1) I open in late position with 44, villain is on the button and 3-bets, I call and its HU for 7.5 bets. Flop is 235 rainbow and I'm first to act - whats my line knowing that the...

Re: Two takes on the same hand

1) If he's got a premium starting hand and plays overly aggressive postflop we can just c/c the whole way unimproved. We get 1:7.75 on the river and villain *should* have AK often enough to make a...

I like CR'ing if BB is the one who bets.

[/ QUOTE ]That doesn't help you protect your hand.

Bet turn.

Re: KJs in SB play along

But you don't necessarily get to C/R "in a good spot", BB might take lead thus negating any advantage you might have had C/Ring the flop + they might raise with worse holdings on the flop to protect...

Re: Top set

Everytime I'm OOP HU and Villain in position has the betting lead I C/R good flops since 99% of the players fire second bullet every time. So I would just C/R and ram and jam as much as I can until I...

Re: TP TK

^ Whoops. Villains range here is AA-JJ and AQ, right?

The most propable holdings are KK, AQ and JJ since we have AQ. We got 5 outs against kings, we're splitting the pot with AQ and we're dead...

Re: 8/16 live, 98s

We propably get a crying call from TP but JJ and less will def. fold the river even if we hit trips or 2-pair. If we hit out flush I'm not so sure we get a call on the river. If we raise on the turn...

Re: 8/16 live, 98s

We're getting a free showdown when villain has TP, JJ-TT or 9 higher kicker? Isn't there some value in that? I think that hero shouldn't be afraid of getting 3-betted since then we know that a pair...
