Re: So we know he has nothing, but will he fold it? (NL50)

Why can he not have a six? Idk this player, but you are saying he never CC 67s ect.? I like the general aggression and you will get folds a lot here but prob not enough to make up for the times he...

Re: Being a Nit in full ring profitable?

[ QUOTE ]
Uh, a nit who exploits isn't a nit.

[/ QUOTE ]

ok, I dont define nit that way. I thought playing tight was exploiting players who play to loose. I didnt realize nit = donk. Donk...

Re: Being a Nit in full ring profitable?

[ QUOTE ]
I describe myself as a laggy-TAG.

I don't mind having a couple 8/4 nits at my table, because they are very easily exploitable. If I raise pf and they cold-call I can profitably c-bet...

Re: 100 NL, TT, shove river for value?

This is so dependant. It seems like this guy looks you up with worse some but not a lot. Hes seems semi tight passive and I think you see JJ and QQ a lot when he calls a shove. Also, 75 and 65 are...

Re: EV of calling a preflop 3bet with small/medium pairs

If you were going to open limp a small pair the button could be the best place to do it. It would defiantly be better to open limp the button situationally than to auto limp under the gun.

Re: NL200 Different AA line

I think DLM is right. You have to gain more from the deception of your check than you lose by giving a free card. I dont think you do that unless this is a regular AK line for you and villian knows...

Re: OT: Theory Question

Certainly if you sit in a poker game and fold everyhand you will lose money. It seems the three options you have for any decision should have some sort of mathmatical relationship, EV may be a bad...

Re: Overcards/flush draw facing a flop raise on paired board

Tough spot. I doubt he got to NL400 by limp calling and never making a move on this kind of flop though. I think a good place to start is flat calling this raise since you have position and then...

I pot it and call a raise. Also, I dont think his range has to be a made flush or the ace of spades.

Re: NL200: KK overpair against LAG

I still get in in on club turns even though they arent my favorite. IMO his range is very wide and you have to much equity to fold.

You could c/c a club turn and fold non-club rivers if you think...

Re: NL200: KK overpair against LAG

I could see a player like this taking your huge preflop raise as weakness and playing back at you very light because "you have AK". I think calling and c/r allin any non ace turn has to be the...

Re: NL200: 99 bottom set against passive villain

If his range is just made straights and QJ then you have have around 45% equity.

Re: NL200: 99 bottom set against passive villain

There are way to many 2 pair/ combo draws villian could have to really think of laying this down. You might could make some sort of argument for waiting to put it in on the turn, but I def. just...
