NL200 Different AA line
villain is 22/6 no other reads. I wanted to make it look bluffy, am I losing value here?

Re: NL200 Different AA line
Ehhh..
Its not that I don't t think he wont look you up here sometimes with a worse 1pair hand, I just think that we can play this straightforward and still get a lot of out of him without having to get fancy... Just don't see the need... But it sure feels great when he calls with like 1010 or some trash |

Re: NL200 Different AA line
I think all that calls here is better hands. The times worse hands call/fold doesnt add up against the times better hands call.

Re: NL200 Different AA line
I like this because I sometimes play AK like this. However, if this sucks that might suck too

Re: NL200 Different AA line
I think you might fold out some hands this way that might have normally stacked off the standard way of playing it.

Re: NL200 Different AA line
I don't think u played it badly.Altough i do agree with Klompy, if you played it starightforward, you would be stacking off by the turn without raising. I think your line is good against better players who are able to lay down big pairs on rag flops. You r losing too much value from a weaker player, as they will stack off with JJ+, and the fact that he only raises 6% means he has a big pair utg and called ur reraise.

Re: NL200 Different AA line
that's pretty bad, big -EV. huge raises like this are for spots where you have a very solid hand (NOT AN OVERPAIR), and there's a good chance the villain has a solid hand you beat (or he can't lay down mediocre holdings like an overpai). It's basically this: do this when you think he either has a hand that can only be thse two things: he'll lay down to a smaller raise anyway if he's not hit, and there's a good chance he'll call any raise if he has hit (but it's still a hand you usually beat).
This plays out such that it indicates he's way ahead, or WAY more likely has a mediocre hand - a mediocre hand will often call a small raise here. The few times he's ahead (with say 88) will totally destroy you. Here's an example - I had reads this guy just couldn't lay down big pairs. I'd seen him play a big pair to the felt on a 4-flush board a little while before. I knew he had AA-JJ,AK here.
