Re: UB $11 Turbo

i would push this on the flop in a ub $11 tourney. calling does not make sense. good but vulnarable hand so fold or raise and if i am raising here i cannot fold later (400 already in the pot) so I...

STT vs 5-table final table push decision

Which is more +$EV?
Pushing this in a STT with 50/30/20 prize str. or at the final table of a 45 person tourney with roughly 31/22/15/11/9/7/4 (7 place pays) prize structure?

Re: B&M $3/$6 25o blind defense vs maniac and calling station

blind defense doesn't have a meaning against these kinds of players at these stakes. However, there is value raising and calling till the end with 25%-30% of your hands. There's also some meta value...

Re: Taking shots at higher limits

loose low limit b&m games have a high variance so it is not uncommon to play perfectly and be down like 30BB. Playing optimally in these games increases your variance. If you are never 20-30BB loser...

Re: OT-Teaching a friend to beat sngs in one day

Just instruction would not cut it. You'd have to let him play games himself and review hand history afterwards. And my guess is review of at least 40-50 SNG will be required in best cases (with...

Re: CAZ, ready for 2007 with BR $1800

In almost all forms of poker it is really not easy to understand the magnitude of variance. It is harder in B&M because you play much less hands then online.
On top of this 3/6 and 4/8 games at CAZ...

Re: top 2 pair. old lady fiires the turn. what should i do? and a hypo

IMO you cannot fold these types of hands even against the nicest old ladies. AA KK QQ is another possibility which you beat. Raising on the turn or calling depends on the type of the old lady.

Re: Casino Arizona role call

my guess is it might be because they moved it from high stakes area to the low stakes podium.

Re: ($5.50) Coin-flip early with possible dead money?

I think calling is +$EV at levels upto even $16 without a read. You'll be shown AQ AJ and just junk a lot of times to compensate for the times you flip a coin.

Re: played at Casino Arizona last night

changing your playing style after 4-5 hours of unlucky cards/flops is called tilting. Although 3/6, 4/8 at CAZ are easy games, they have a high variance in my opinion. get used to it. In addition,...

Re: NL25 TT overpair

Villian looks passive (though based on 21 hands). Is he really likely to min re-raise a draw?

25NL T9s flush draw + pair

Played only 8 hands with the villian so no reads.
1) Is pre flop call too loose for the position?
2) Would re-raising on the turn be better?
2) Can I call on the river thinking that AA is highly...

Re: PS $11. Should I have pushed PF?

you have 11 BB and a not so good hand. check preflop and hope for a good flop. you win at low level sng's by folding all the time.
with this flop check and see if you get a to see a free or very...

Re: $6.50 Turbo: AKo outta the BB

I would raise it to 200-250 preflop. I think AK is more valuable then just a call at $6.5 and $11 level. A lot of hands you dominate will call you and donk everything if you both hit the flop.
If I...

Re: ($27 Turbo) Aces (tricked ya!)

1) if 1 haven't taken a pot in the last 5-6 hands I would have done the same preflop raise but c/f the flop. If i had taken a pot in the past few hands I would have fold.
2) fold to re-raise
3) I...
