Re: Wheeling Poker Room Review
5-10 limit O8 was fun there last night. Only took most dealers a couple hands to get into the swing of it. It was nice to have the floor actually encourage us to bump the limits from 3-6 (where the...

Re: Salamanca Casino in NY
I've played there. Saturday tourney is a joke. You'll wish you'd played online.
Cash games on the other hand are juicy if you're looking for 2-4LHE, 1-2NLHE, or 2-5NLHE.

Witzo, I live in Struthers and journey to Niagara at least once a month (for the past 4 years). I was thinking of next time going to Salamanca but I have never been there.

Re: Some questions about Horse
After their (poorly-structured) HORSE tournament, Seneca Niagara in Niagara Falls, NY spread a 3-6 limit HORSE game. $1 ante and $1 bringin for all the stud games, $1-$3 blinds for HE and O8.

Re: Games at Seneca Alllegany
Somebody just asked about this a day or two ago but I can't be bothered searching for it.
Weekday usual lineup: 2-4 LHE, 1-2 NLHE, maybe 2-5 NLHE
Weekend usual lineup: same, with perhaps a 3-6...

Re: Seneca Allegany Games
If you go on a weekday, you will be hard-pressed to find anything other than 2-4 limit, 1-2 NL, and (maaaaaybe) 2-5 NL.
On a weekend, you may find one table of 3-6 limit and 5-10 NL in addition to...

Re: Fun at Seneca Allegany
Didn't bother me whatsoever. Others at the table were amused, several to the point of drinking "whatever they're having."

Re: Fun at Seneca Allegany
Nope, I was at 100NL, 200NL, or 500NL, depending on the hour, since apparently no one in NY, PA, or OH plays Omaha.

Re: Tournament structure at Seneca Casino
As the poster above said, buyin gets you T600, rebuys T300. Blinds start at 25-25 with (I think) 15 or 20-min levels if I remember right. POOOOOSHfest, just like every Seneca tournament. HORSE...

Re: Bad Beat Jackpot Now at Seneca Casinos
Viva la $5 effective rake, every hand!
Not that anybody there will notice, of course. Rooms that can't run limit games larger than $2-4 or any game other than HE make me wish I lived closer to...

Thanks for the interesting comments, everybody.
Can anyone confirm that Turning Stone still uses the jumbo-index cards? I could probably manage a trip there.

A curious question about cards
I've never played in a cardroom outside the Seneca rooms in NY and Niagara Falls, so please pardon my innocence.
Being visually impaired, I usually try to sit in the 5 or 6 seats when they're...

I have only seen one floorperson total at Seneca Niagara and Allegany with the faintest clue of how to handle dealer mistakes. I'm not surprised by this experience. I am surprised that you handled...

Re: Casino Allegany (Salamanca) Question
Probably at least a 2-4 limit, a couple 1-2 NL games, and if you're lucky, a 2-5 NL. There usually are games around the clock, but the place empties out significantly around 11 on weekends and...

Re: Seneca Casino best game
5-10 NL is probably not within the "best limits to play" for someone who ranges 1-2 NL to 10-20 limit.
You're likely to be stuck at a 1-2 NL table or 3-6 limit. If the moon and stars line up...

Actually leaving right now. Blue fleece over white/red striped shirt. Playing whatever they got running, probably either that crappy 1-2NL or 3-6 or Omaha. Give me a holler if you see me.
