Looking for a quality holdem table to purchase
I have a folding table I bought for $150 which is sufficient, but I am looking to find a used, heavy duty table that I can also place a top on and use as a dining room table. I checked the classifieds, but that's all just site advertising. Anyone have info on this?

Re: Looking for a quality holdem table to purchase
What is you price range? I got a brand new table 3 years ago for $450. It is one of the combos with a regular table top (which is actually really nice), poker table, and bumper pool. I went to a local company that makes pool tables mostly, but also made dining room sets and such. You will probably have better luck finding a decently priced new one, than a decently priced used one that is good condition. Other than that, check ebay.

Check scottkeen.com/forum and post there. They'll have people in your area that'll build you what you want. I actually think I saw what you're looking for.

Re: Looking for a quality holdem table to purchase
Go to your local Wal-Mart. You can acquire this brand new table on the cheap (mine was $99 but I have seen them as low as $75 since).
http://www.sportcraft.com/asp/model....7&catid=28 Profit. (You may wish to re-felt the poker surface, as the provided felt is very slow and painted up for the newbies, but for the money, it's freakin' sweet.) |

Re: Looking for a quality holdem table to purchase
Thanks Bryan, but I already have a decent folding table that I purchased for $150. It's functional, but since we are moving into a newly built house, I am hoping to get a real nice, permanent table, that can double as a dining room table. I'd like to get one similar to the tables used in casinos, at least that's the size I'd like. Thanks for the input.

Re: Looking for a quality holdem table to purchase
That one does double as a dining room table, it comes with a top which is similar in appearance to the table legs which sits atop the poker surface and works just fine for eating, paying bills, playing Monopoly, or whatever else. It's pretty permanent--you are not going to want to move this table once you have it set up. (It's 7.5 feet long, which is pretty close to the size of a stud table.) I'm happy with the quality, and would definitely consider it nice for the money. Guess I don't understand your objections.

You could try:
here... or here... or this beauty at only $6,100... Just type "POKER DINING TABLE" in Google and go from there. |

Re: Looking for a quality holdem table to purchase
I'm looking for a big, classy looking table with thick wooden legs. Something that I can sell to the wife as being a quality dining room table, that just happens to be a poker table as well (get my drift?). If I came home with a $150 folding leg table, I'd end up sleeping outside with the dog...although he does have a computer out there....hmmmm
