Dealer exposes my hand even though I didn\'t call
I was at Commerce last week and yelled at a dealer for the first time ever.
40/80 hold'em game. There were three of us in a hand on the turn when I raised and another guy behind me 3-bet. The original bettor folded and told the dealer he wanted to see both hands. (This is a dumb rule, but whatever, he's allowed to do it.) I call and check-fold the river (I had flopped top two pair and "knew" I was up against a flopped flush). The guy who 3-bet the turn showed his flush, and then the dealer took my cards out of the muck and showed them even though I didn't call. Not cool, especially when a bunch of aggro guys get to see you make a "big" laydown in a huge pot. |

Obviously terrible on the dealer's part. This is close to death penalty material.

I'd be angry too, but it sounds like a dealer on auto pilot who made a mistake. Definitely not cool and I would definitely admonish him to be more careful, but it was probably not malicious. If he apologized, I'd let it go.

Re: Dealer exposes my hand even though I didn\'t call
Dealers put out about 1200 hands a week.
They go on autopilot at times. They make mistakes. They are human. Maybe it stuck in his mind that Mr BoosterShot had asked to see both hands and he forgot or didn't notice you did not call, especially since the Flush showed his hand. On a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 3.5 |

Re: Dealer exposes my hand even though I didn\'t call
Similiar;
Playing at Salamanca NY, I was in a hand against a guy whom I had never seen play sober until Tonight. Got in a big pot against him where I re-raised pre flop, and he finally folded to my double-barrell on the Turn. The dealer peaked at my hand after the guy folded, and i pushed my cards towards her with a dollar on them... she then turned them over for everyone to see saying that the "show one show all" rule applies to showing the dealer the cards as well.... I left when the blinds came to me |

Similiar; [/ QUOTE ] Not really. About 8.7 out of 10. |

No this is not similar at all. This is something the dealer should be fired for - no joke.

Re: Dealer exposes my hand even though I didn\'t call
I don't think that's similar either.
First one I would laugh off. Clearly was more of an accident than anything else. No biggie. So I made a big lay-down and the rest of the table got information on me. Meh, not the end of the world. Dealer didn't mean to mess up. But in the 2nd one the dealer DID mean to do what she did. And what she did was really bad. 1st one was an accidental space-out. 2nd one was a dealer peaking at your hand and then coming to the incredible decision to turn it over for everyone else too. |

Re: Dealer exposes my hand even though I didn\'t call
Playing at Foxwoods, check, check river, showed my top pair, guy nodded, put his cards face down in front of the dealer.
I put a chip on my cards and waited for the pot. Dealer says she needs to see both hands. The other player doesnt care, he knows he missed his flush, doesn't turn over cards. The dealer reaches over, flips up his cards showing the made gutshot. I freak out, start screaming at the dealer. She calls the floor. The floor backs her up, says you have to see both hands. Was another day and a half before I could get anyone on the floor to agree that the dealer screwed up. |
