The Gold Strike in Tunica is near 200k right now.

[/ QUOTE ] The problem with that is it's four 10's or better. Quads over quads is hard enough but four 10's? wow.

[/ QUOTE ]

I totally agree. I wonder how often their mini one gets hit.

Just wondering where the current highest Bad Beat Jackpot might be right now?

Seneca Niagara's is at $274,000. It has not been hit since November.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well a few weeks ago Stations got to 430k. No matter how high it gets the loser/winner shares are always the same though. It's room/network shares that make up the rest.

I think the win was at $480k. It was crazy. The wait for a game at Red Rock was over 1 1/2 hours for a table that week. Hit again the next morning, and I was at Texas Station on Sat when it hit again.

It's only up to 180k last night.

Witzo, I live in Struthers and journey to Niagara at least once a month (for the past 4 years). I was thinking of next time going to Salamanca but I have never been there.

Is about 45 minutes closer? I usually play 2/5 but I hear you can only buy-in for $200 max like Niagara used to do?

Any info you could provide me would help. TIA.

I'm not sure where Struthers is. The $2-5NL is a fixed buyin of $100-200; you can play $5-10 for $200-500 on weekends if it's running. Both the larger NL games have a ton of softplaying going on among the regulars, who are many and mortifyingly loose PF.

I went to GVR for some lunch and play some cards. Called up, got on the list for basically everything up to 10/20 except for 2/4. We got there, and the closest we were was about 60th on any list, on a tuesday about 2pm. This was when it was only in the 300's. Anyways, went to eat, donked around a bit at VP, came back 1.5 hours later and still barely 40th on the list (highest point of any). So my buddy and I said F it and left. That's just stupid. I talked to a few buddies of mine that deal there and they said the games got so insanely tight with people just calling for the flop with a pair and everyone checking everything down that the games were terrible all around. Go figure, typical for badbeat/freeroll chasing games in this town.

I've said it before and now again, freerolls/badeat jackpots create such terrible games because that's the only reason anyone is there, not to actually play poker. Another reason why I stick to the strip for poker like many of you guys here.

Struthers is a suburb of Youngstown. It borders it on the South Side.

Thanks for the info.

Powerball is $90M right now, it only costs you one drop and you don't have to be sitting at the table to hit it. Either way you're buying a lottery ticket.

Mega Millions is $267 Million right now, seems like a slightly better spot to blow some cash

I've seen several BBJ over 1/2 million. I was also at Argosy Casino in Baton Rouge the night it was up around 350K, hit, and then the backup hit 25 minutes later for 160K.
