Re: 3/6 flop question
I don't see a problem with calling from the CO. Can someone explain to me the concept of fold equity and its application here? Seeing as this guy is tight, I feel that I can steal the pot from him...

call the turn raise, I don't like the raise for the reasons mentioned above. I want to get to showdown.

Re: C/R River? Another pocket 5s hand
I too am 'grunching'.
I am a new poster but long time lurker. Consequently, I am trying to post in a bunch of different threads based on how I would play these hands. Based on comments, I am...

Re: Made my Flush, don\'t feel so good. 3/6 PS
No problem with the play. Do you think that villain would raise the turn here with you still to act or would he want to string you along for the river for another bet if he had made his flush? You...

Re: 3/6 Blind Defense KJ
After leading the turn and getting raised, I call. Then, I c/c the river UI. Even though the player has a really small ASB, he makes the same raise with AK-AJ, TT-88.
250 hands is a small...

Re: was this a missed bet on the river?
I am not sure I am understanding this. You get check-raised on the river by a decent player when an A hits. Why didnt you check behind on the river here for free showdown?
This really looks like...

Re: To Value Bet or To Not Value Bet.... KK 2/4
Without reads, I check behind here. I check behind because there are very few hands that will hang around on the flop and turn that we now beat at the river. The river brought 4 to a flush. We only...

Re: TPTK, but it\'s 3-bet to me on the flop
I would probably lead out on the flop.
However, given that you did not, I fold this quickly.
I agree with TH41. You say that there are already two aggressive players in the pot. I say at best...

Re: AQo out-of-position; after getting 3-bet PF
Good reasoning there, Warren. I went into call down mode and villian showed KK. I am still not sure if I like my line. I guess, without a read, I will call down in this position in the future.

AQo out-of-position; after getting 3-bet PF
First orbit after sitting down. I have only played one hand before and I won that hand without a showdown. Stats on the villian from a short previous session are 25/11/2. How would everyone here...

Re: 2/4 Turn, River - big leak
Thanks a lot for the input guys. I really need to break that habit of calling down here. On the turn, is it worth calling that raise because of the 4 ten outs? Or is that crazy too?
I know that...

2/4 Flop, River
I raise the flop, hoping for a free card on the turn if I do not improve. Is this line of thinking correct?
Should I raise this river and call a 3-bet? Or is simply calling down in this...

2/4 Turn, River - big leak
No reads on any opponents at the table; the first orbit. I want to know how you guys would play the flop, turn, and river. I think this hand is an example of a leak of mine.

Re: 1/2 - Unpaired AK betting on rag board
If a guy fires three times like that, I will fold the river.
Unless the person is a compelete maniac I believe he has a PP here most times. Would this be considered a WA/WB situation?
I am...

Re: KQs flop decision
Without a read, I raise the flop and fold to a three bet. I am hoping he checks the turn and UI I take the free card.
I feel UTG has a weak A.

If the range of hands is as large as you say it is... I actually FOLD this preflop. Here is my reasoning. He is raising .3% of the time and is superpassive. Immediately I limit his holdings to...
