Default KQs flop decision

Villian is unknown stat-wise so far, but appears to be an average 5/10er. What do I do here and is it close?

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $5.
UTG calls, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#666666">8 folds</font>, UTG calls.

looks like a raise vs an unknown. He could be probe/folding 33-99, or calling down with Ax. The first case does wonders for you, in the second case, you get to see the turn and river, not to mention pick up extra bets if you hit.

Usually fold here...pot is pretty small. Could try an information raise but I wouldn't recommend it.

Without a read, I raise the flop and fold to a three bet. I am hoping he checks the turn and UI I take the free card.

I feel UTG has a weak A.

default play is to raise and CALL a 3-bet since you will be getting sufficient odds for your gutshot. folding is okay too though, and yes it is close. i've seen a ten/small pp do this often enough for the play to be correct. check turn behind. river would be more interesting if you raised flop, checked turn, and he bets river when you improve to a pair of q's/k's, which is a pretty close decision. games are getting more aggressive than ever.

I don't think your typical 5/10 player is betting this flop with a T or a small PP very often. But I still think raising the flop is better than just calling. You could wait and semi-bluff the turn but that isn't working nearly enough and you don't know if you have the outs to make that play.
